Hello,

do you know an hospital in Bangkok which practices abortion ?

It's for a Thai woman, 47 years old , alcoholic and she wants abortion

On an other forum, there was a farang woman who could'nt find any hospital for her daughter, Thai doctors refused the abortion

for religious reasons ( Buddhism  doesn't accept to kill life )

but here, it's a different  case, 47 years old is very old, alcoholic is dangerous for the baby, for me there are good reasons to abort

BTW. how much is the cost, about  ?

thank you

Sheryl, sorry ,  I don't understand " fsr pregnant "

PDA clinic, are you sure they will accept abortion ? no problem with the religion ?

it's a very little foetus

any phone number ?

it's in Prachinburi, but I said Bangkok because maybe there are more opportunities  in BKK which practice abortion

edit : I found the PDA clinic with Google map pro, it's Arthit clinic, with a phone number

I think she wanted to type "how far pregnant" or rather how many weeks/months pregnant.

Typo (I do it all of the time)

How far pregnant - how many months?

Good luck by the way.

I meant how many weeks pregnant. ("Very little" doesn't help. Need to know how many weeks dince last period).

PDA clnic does abortions every day, no problem at all provided her pregnancy is early enough.

I don't know it by name  "Arthit clinic", do not sure it is same llacr.  This is the correct link

I take it she already tried at the main government hospital in Prachinburi?

You know.

This is just such a sensitive subject.

Yet, it should not be.

Just look at the history.

In the end, proper medical care is the only way.

I once drove from Philly to New York for an abortion.....in the late 60s.

Denying medical care, immediately, where and when it is most needed, is wrong.

The abortion scene in LOVE WITH A PROPER STRANGER (1963)- Natalie Wood's attempt to get a backroom abortion is aborted by Steve McQueen, in one of the most moving & frightening scenes dealing with the reality of abortion before Roe vs Wade. Wood was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar® for this film, directed by Robert Mulligan (TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD) and produced by Alan Pakula. No Copyright Infringement Intended.

I hope that all will watch this.

At least, anyone who is anti-abortion....

Yes.

Frightening.

This is the best dramatization of this issue.

The only problem with this segment is that:  No one has the right to refuse any woman an abortion.  There should be NO stigma attached.

Backroom abortions are an abomination.

There is ZERO stigma in Taiwan, for example, just for your info.....

This is the way it should be.

Buddha has nothing to do with it. Police does though.

Explained:

The abortions performed here [in Bangkok] are done in most inhumane way. They "scoop" everything from the womb, damaging placenta and causing [often] massive bleeding. And here comes the police.

I was at the seminar at Bangkok Hospital (BKK) and reports were horrifying.

So to get to the point: its about 5-6K THB  and done at any women's health clinic, but .... [^^^]

Also, many high school girls know the contact of "Dr.Somchai" who does it.

Those savage technics are very dangerous and life threatening.

My advice, then....

Just fly to Taiwan.

The healthcare at Taiwan University Hospital is TOPS....really!

And, no questions asked.

Also, cheap flights are available, I would imagine.

Many top doctors in Taiwan are trained in the USA.

These days...hopping on a flight to Taiwan...costs peanuts.

Great care there.

Much support.

Police has nothing to do with it.

Abortion has been legal in Thailand for several years.

No need for "backroom procedures" nor for improper procedures.

Medical abortion (taking tablets) and d&c (dilatation and curettage) are both done here.

Abortion is done by doctors,  in clinics or hospitals,  staff is very caring.

The places I named are the most obvious choices,  there are others.  But many doctors or hospitals won't do it, that's their personal choice.

The posts above are misleading.

And as I said before,  it's walk-in service.  No need to call first,  just don't come after 3pm. The earlier,  the better.
