Thai Women Survive Rape Attempt Due to Suspect’s Erectile Dysfunction

Two Thai women survived a rape attempt in Ubon Ratchathani, allegedly due to the suspect’s erectile dysfunction. The 34-year-old suspect, Rungsan, attacked the women with a wooden stick, causing one to crash her motorcycle and sustain head injuries. After assaulting her, he attempted rape but fled when she pretended to be dead. The second victim managed to escape with minor injuries. Rungsan admitted to consuming methamphetamine and claimed he initially targeted their valuables but later attempted sexual assault. He now faces charges for sexual assault, physical assault, and drug use, with penalties ranging up to 10 years in prison and significant fines.
