Trump supports immigration visas backed by Musk: ‘I have many H-1B visas on

There is a double standard playing out. Musk and his smarmy sidekick Vivek bemoan the US educational system and yet, they are opposed to properly funding education and wish to  abolish the Department of Education. Neither of the two has made significant contributions to education in the USA. The Gates and Clinton Foundations have. The Walton and Koch foundations have. In fact they have done more for bimedical and production engineering R&D than Musk and Vivek have.

I give Trump credit for being honest. I disagree with him, but on this, he's not running away or pretending he does not exploit the visas.  The tech industry loves these visas because they can hold the visa over the heads of the workers and pay them less than US nationals. Indians will accept living 5 in a room with only a fan. They will accept working longer hours. Their productivity may be no better than US nationals, but they will accept the abuse if they can get a green card and be able to bring 20 family members over.

I can't see Vivek contributing much of anything. One thing to come out of this controversy are the revelations about Viveks Big Pharma stock scams. This is something I somehow missed and only found out about its true extent over the past few days. This man took an alzheimer drug that had already failed with the FDA and repackaged it and sold it to investors. He then did a rugpull, selling all his shares before the stock collapsed from the mid 50s to 46 cents. Tell me again about lazy Americans, Vivek. What about immoral con artists who get their money dishonestly?

But why get H1Bs from India, which has a notoriously bad system of higher education rife with fraudulent degrees and fake diplomas? Why not any of the countries on that list I provided you: Switzerland, Germany, South Korea, Japan? For that matter, why not Vietnam? Vietnamese have a higher national iq than india, a better work ethic, and for the past 50 years possessed a proven, pro-American cultural connection with recent Vietnamese immigrants in the US.

I don’t care where they come from.  They have to apply and pass the requirements.

Just like I had to for the LTR visa in Thailand.

Bad news for Donald. Breitbart just put up a headline story documenting how Trump is now lying about always supporting H1Bs. Devastating. And the comments are even more angry and outraged. He's really stepped in it this time.

He has, or rather Musk and Vivek have, and he can't deny what he said previously.

He has likely alienated many of his voters with a perceived stab in the back, and has handed the Democrats a propaganda coup.

The irony is that up until Christmas day, things were going superbly for Trump. It looked like he was going to get all his cabinet picks and staffers confirmed, polls were showing 60 to 70 percent approval, especially for his immigration deportation plan and THEN along comes Elon and Vivek. Poof! All gone.

These are not my words but they seem to sum up the situation exactly for Trump's new stance on H1Bs.

“But then Elon Musk gave me $200 million and I have changed my policy.

“And while I’m at it, I would like to tell you all about how I have also changed my policy on Crypto, TikTok, and electric vehicles, for the same reason.”

Adelsen widow gave him $100m - hence the campaigning with the Israeli flag and support for Israel.

This is the Elon tweet that may singlehandedly sink Trump's second term before it even starts.

What about his tweet endorsing another that was calling Americans "too retarded to be hired for skilled jobs".

Sheesh, makes Hilary's "deplorable" comment seem quaint.

Maybe scale back on the Ketamine.

Speculation is that his ketamine addiction requires ever increasing dosages for him to cope. https://www.priorygroup.com/addiction-treatment/ketamine-addiction-treatment/ketamine-addiction-symptoms

You are a disgusting, hate ridden human being, typical of your murderous Socialist ilk. Typical foreigner sucking off the American tit and disrespecting decent human beings.

The needle seems to be stuck on that track.  Any chance of posting somehing original that both makes sense and is germane!

O wow, thats so deep and cutting. I am so crushed by that riposte that I might hurl myself from the central tower of Angkor Wat, screaming "I need to go back to school" as I plummet flailingly to the ancient stones below.

That's the very first time I agree with you, so go ahead.

Is that a promise?

It would be wonderful if you were standing below. Make the world a smarter place.

It would with you out of it if you succeeded!

Unfortunately since most of your posts are off target I suspect that any attempt you try to make WRT the above would also result in abject failure on your part.

Some facts about H1B.

I actually took the time to read this.  It's quite obvious we are not getting the cream of the crop as H-1B is intended to do.

Lauren Boebert:

Criticized for her comments about Muslims and racist remarks toward Rep. Ilhan Omar. She referred to Omar as a member of the “Jihad Squad”, which was widely viewed as an Islamophobic and racist comment.

Marjorie Taylor Greene:

She has faced criticism for supporting QAnon conspiracy theories, which some have linked to white supremacy and antisemitism. Greene has also been accused of making racist comments about various racial and ethnic groups, Jewish space lasers?

Ted Cruz:

His positions on immigration and his rhetoric about Mexican immigrants have raised many questions about his stance on racial issues. His support for policies, like the border wall and Trump’s immigration rhetoric, has led critics to argue that his views are racially charged.

All opinions.

So it would seem. Of course there are those who would say the US no longer produces people capable of manning a 7-11 till.

Yes we do thanks to the dumbing down of students by the leftists liberal education system.

Actions speak louder than words.

My memory may not be as good as yours. Can you remind me which party has consistently reduced funding for education since Regan?

Because graduates from those countries have no need to work as indentured servants 🤣
