Two Women Die in Fatal Road Crash in Nakhon Ratchasima

Tragedy struck on a railway crossing in Huai Thalaeng district, Nakhon Ratchasima, as two women involved in a collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle succumbed to their injuries despite initial medical intervention. The accident occurred at 11:45 on January 3, when emergency services from Hook 31 Huai Thalaeng received a report of a crash involving a blue motorcycle and a pickup truck loaded with vegetables. The women on the motorcycle had attempted an illegal U-turn at the base of a bridge. The motorcycle’s rider, Mrs Nimnuan Humthaisong, 62, and her passenger, Mrs Wanpen Teepthaisong, 50, both from Moo 2, Mueang Phlapphla subdistrict, suffered critical injuries after the pickup truck, driven by Mr Thanapol Kueram, from Buriram, struck their vehicle. Mrs Nimnuan and Mrs Wanpen were residents of the same community. One casualty, the passenger, was found thrown from the motorcycle onto the road. The rider was stuck in the shattered windscreen, with the bonnet crumpled onto her. Hook 31 responders rushed the victims to Huai Thalaeng Hospital for emergency care. Both women were later pronounced dead, shortly after arriving. The crash site was promptly attended by senior police officers, including Pol. Col. It Bunyarit, Superintendent of Huai Thalaeng Police Station; Pol. Lt. Col. Punyapong Lertmallikaporn, Deputy Superintendent; and Pol. Lt. Nopadon Klawacha, investigating officer. Foreign men attack Phuket taxi driver over fare dispute - video
I am not defending Thai taxi drivers because in general they are all <deleted>. The use a Bolt app so know exactly what the fare will be. Am I correct in saying that? How would they think the taxi driver takes them to to the supermarket for free? Why did they not go inside the hotel and ask to change money there? The whole saga sounds suss. I personally would not get into a taxi without knowing I had enough money. I had my share of dramas with Thai taxis at airports. Bangkok tried to introduce the 50 baht booking fee but that just adds 50 baht and in most cases the argument start because they refuse to use meters. These days I use Bell to Pattaya and if I am going to Bangkok use skytrain.Last time I was in Phuket it was a fixed fare . -

In a supportive gesture, Thawatchai Wiriyajit from the local land transport office stated that authorities would cover the medical expenses incurred by the patients. Subsequently, police arrested a 39-year-old man named Wasin, after discovering tree cutting tools in his white Isuzu pickup truck, along with documentation indicating he was involved in selling timber. Athisak Intra, the Governor of Kanchanaburi Province, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the incident to address this unlawful act and implement safety measures to prevent future occurrences.
