Male-Female Relationships in Thailand: More Transactional, Less Traditional?
It may depend a LOT on who, and where, you are looking. I have found Thai women, like women everywhere want could be treated with respect, plain and simple. If you're an older guy and walk up to a super good looking Thai lady and go Hey, I want to be your boyfriend. I'll give you ฿100000 a month. Sure transaction, she may say you do what you want. Because she's not into you, She's into your money. but if you go up and meet a Thai woman. And you like each other, She likes you, not the money, it's not transactional. She will expect you to treat her the same way she treats you. Are there transactions required? Yes like anywhere in life. You may need to pay for housing you share, buy the food. Pay her expenses. You maycexpect her to cook, clean, take care of you. This is the same around the world. She may have the better job, and you stay home and cook and clean. This is the normal give and take of any relationship. -

How are agents dealing with the bank account requirements for a retirement extension ?
The agents have an agreement with Bangkok Bank and only with them! The 800,000 Baht remains only for about 15 minutes in the newly opened customers account, after it will be transferred back into the agents account. Of course the agent is paying an "appreciation fee" to the bank. Works since many, many years just fine. -

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2025)
BBC iPlayer had the movie, "A Bridge Too Far" available for the next month, so I thought I'd watch it as I can't remember anything about it, or even if I had watched it previously! The whole operation was called "Operation Market Garden" and was mainly conceived by the British, although in its operation there were US, Canadian and Polish forces taking part. Sadly the whole operation was a failure and around 15,000 and 17,000 troops were killed and captured. History has laid the blame mainly at the feet of Montgomery and Urquart although there were many other components overseen by other fairly incompetent army personnel which contributed to the disaster. I experienced a tinge of sadness when I saw the paratroopers descending upon the Dutch countryside and remembered the words of my father when he described how paratroopers were crying out for help when they were dumped in the sea on an aborted airborne landing off the coast of Italy (or was it Sicily?) and drowned, weighed down by the heavy gear they were carrying. Certainly Montgomery was an arrogant, pompous and self righteous man who really didn't get on with the American commanders (and them with him neither), however he was successful in his own right and my father fought under him in the 8th Army in the battle of El Alamein, which was a huge success in routing the Germans in North Africa. Brought back memories for me...........pics of Dad during WW11 -

Why show an unrelated photo of Soi 6 which has almost no transgenders? The attack happened on Beach Rd apparently far down south from where Soi 6 is. -
