Aseannow is all about trump and Europe, not much about Thailand
There are many anti-Trump folks on here that do not live here in Thailand and actually know Sweet FA about things... also lots of rabid socialists trying to influence the narrative. However, many of them have failed to realise how far south the world has gone under the current lefty watch. Once you go too far to either side then you end up facilitating the rise of the opposite, and history bears this out. The answers are to be found in the middle... scientists call it the " Goldilocks Zone". In the 20th century, many countries went too far right, which we needed rescued from, and that gave rise to the left in the late 20th century.... but we are in danger of going too far left now, which will give rise to the right, and it's already happening. The ansers are in the middle, like with most things.. sad that so many have lost sight of this and believe their personal intolerance is the way forward. Not a good prognosis for the future IMO. -

Many of the elderly feel safer handling their cash inside the branch, and not on the footpath. There's good reason for this. Many of them would get their handbag snatched just leaving the ATM on pension day. Probably why some banks now have their ATM's behind sliding doors, 24/7, that you need to swipe your card to gain access. -

The bouncing bundle of joy from Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chon Buri has captured hearts worldwide, but it’s her latest milestone that’s sending netizens into a frenzy. The zoo’s playful superstar celebrated her half-year birthday in style today. The zoo’s fan page, Kha Moo and the Gang, shared Moo Deng’s ID card, complete with all the essentials: Name: Miss Moo Deng S. Khao Kheow Animal ID: 9 0021 90017 25 137 Birthdate: July 10, 2024 Address: 235 Village No. 7, Bang Phra subdistrict, Si Racha district, Chon Buri province. In a cheeky twist, the ID card has no expiration date, making it a timeless keepsake for the zoo’s hippo VIP. Netizens, however, were quick to fixate on the lucky numbers from the card, sparking playful comments and lottery speculation. Adding to the buzz, the fan page announced the auction of Moo Deng’s framed footprints from when she was just three months old. Proceeds will go towards the wildlife sponsorship project, reported KhaoSod. “It’s really open for auction. As I told already problems with not paid claims resulted of wrong procedures in claiming or simply in hidden preconditions. Not disclosed precondition will not be paid by any other insurance too. The once entry premium is fixed and will not rise unless you will use your insurance. -

The interest portion if earned while a Thai tax redident would be assessable but a case might be made that the capital amount is in effect savings from income prior to 2024 (and indeed probably prior to becoming a Thai tax resident). Let me know what you ultimately find out. I have a somewhat similar issue further (potentially) complicated by fact that the invome portion was from US government employment.
