At approximately 14:30 on 10 January, authorities were called to a home in Ban Na Pakor, Bang Kaeo district, Phatthalung province, following reports of a fatal shooting. Police, forensic officers, and rescue teams arrived at the residence, where they discovered the body of 43-year-old Ms. Dao Phasuk Nawi.

Ms. Nawi had been shot with a revolver, the bullet striking her abdomen and exiting through her back, while another shot hit her right arm and exited through the left side of her chest. She was found lying on a mattress in the living room of her home. A bullet shell was recovered from the scene and kept as evidence.

The suspected shooter, 36-year-old Mr. Yusob Bin La, fled the scene on his white Honda Wave motorcycle after the incident.

Initial investigations revealed a history of domestic disputes between the couple. Mr. Yusob was known to have a drug addiction, and authorities indicated that when under the influence of drugs, he often became irritable and violent towards his wife. The couple had frequently argued, and the latest conflict occurred shortly after Mr. Yusob returned home the previous day.

It is believed that after another heated argument, Mr. Yusob shot his wife, resulting in her death, before fleeing the scene. Authorities are currently searching for Mr. Yusob, and a manhunt is underway.
