One's been entrenched in the system for decades, the implementation of this tax policy is new.
One expat speaks to one TRD officer, at one TRD office, gets told "if you get pension, no need pay tax" and that is relied upon by the expat. No discussion about what country they are from, the DTA, their age, their marital status.
A visit where no ID is shown, no record of the inquiry is kept, no record of the officer spoken is made, no documentary prove the visit ever took place.
Yeah, I call relying on information given at such a meeting, risky.
The main problem with immigrants, weither illegal or not, is that most of them will breed family and these family members are born in the UK and have the right to stay in the UK because of their birth.
They become very difficult to expell out of the country once they have created a family.
Not only in the UK, but everywhere.
To quote my wife, "Army come soon." It's sad that the counter-balance to a corrupt civilian government is a military coup, but that counter-balance carries weight and has been used so often that you can slip into it like a worn sandal.
Personally I wouldn't mind seeing the entire Shin clan in Dubai permanently.
Have you used this for travelling alone with a minor Thai child?
For Thai-immigration you might need the official Thai-document for travelling alone with a minor Thai citizen; se my above reply.
