A 29-year-old woman driving a Mercedes-Benz collided with a motorcycle in Soi Sena Nikhom 1, Chatuchak, Bangkok, early on January 22nd, resulting in the deaths of two women. The impact threw the victims onto the road, while the motorcycle was dragged for 80 metres before the car came to a stop.

The Phahonyothin Police Station was alerted to the collision at 05.00. Officers, accompanied by rescue volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, arrived at the scene on the two-lane road near Soi Sena Nikhom 1 Intersection 28.

Two women, aged approximately 40 to 45 years, were found deceased at the scene. Both victims had severe injuries and were lying in pools of blood. One victim had her ankle severed, and neither had any identification on them.

About 80 metres away, a white Mercedes-Benz CLS 220d was found in the middle of the road, heading towards Ladprao-Wang Hin Road. The front right side of the car had sustained damage, the headlight smashed, and the windscreen cracked. Both airbags had deployed. Nearby, a damaged Yamaha Grand Filano motorcycle was discovered, with its rear wheel detached from the body of the vehicle.

The driver of the Mercedes, identified as Ms. Fueanglada, 29, remained at the scene to provide her statement to the authorities.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims were riding their motorcycle out of Soi Sena Nikhom 1 Intersection 26 towards Ladprao-Wang Hin Road. The Mercedes, driving straight at high speed, struck the rear of the motorcycle. The impact propelled the two women onto the road at the entrance of Soi Sena Nikhom 1 Intersection 28, while the Mercedes dragged the motorcycle nearly 80 metres before coming to a stop.

Police will review CCTV footage from the area to determine the cause of the accident. Ms. Fueanglada was taken to Phahonyothin Police Station for questioning and an alcohol test.

The victims’ bodies were sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Police General Hospital for examination. Authorities are working to contact the victims’ families.

I do not know the location, but that looks to me like the bike pulled out of a side soi onto a main road without looking.

Happens all of the time in Thailand.

I sometimes watch "Dashcam Thailand" on YT.....the stupidity and ignorance on the roads is astounding.

They have zero patience....they never want to stop at intersections....and the aggression is constant

Yup, saw a motorcycle yesterday fly right past me on the center line as I stopped for a Red Light, she flew right through the intersection with cars crossing, didn't even slow down, just narrowly missed get herself killed......for what?!
