Trump’s Proposal for Gazan Relocation makes perfect sense
May 1945; Berlin was in ruins. The leader of the Reich was dead, along with many minions. Plenty of minions left, some muttering about Werewolf units taking the fight to the Allies. They never amounted to much. The city had been bombarded from left, right and centre; nearly 70,000 tons of British and American aerial bombs, plus Soviet heavy artillary and their Kayutsha rockets.. The city, across a metropolitian area of less than 350 square miles had a prewar population of 2.5 million. By May, the population was swollen. There were a lot of Berliners among that, and refugees from the East. But also a lot were real diehards, believing the nonsense that the Americans and British would turn on the Bolsheviks and support the Fuhrer. In the 1920s, Berlin was Red Berlin, in the grip of the Communists and Socialists. Goebbels worked hard with the Party machine to make the Nazi Party the biggest party in Berlin, in the 1932 elections. In fact, 70% of Berlin students voted for Hitler in the earlier student elections. But Berlin fell. The atrocities were already quite well known before then, but the evidence that then emerged shocked even the most hardened soldier. Soldiers who had seen the worse that men could do to other men were left weeping by the scenes at the death camps such as Belsen Belsen. There was anger, with the prisoners in some cases allowed to beat their erstwhile guards to death. But then order was restored. The Germans, even those not supporting the Nazis, enabled the Nazis, and Germans were forced to look upon the atrocities they claimed to be ignorant of. There woud be no talk of the so-called German Resistance for 70 years. No one was in the mood for claims of "we tried", when they didn't try enough. The Soviets controlled Berlin, but the city was split into military controlled sectors among the Allied Forces. The city was not evacuated Pol Pot style. It was full of millions of small arms, ammunition caches that were distributed to the Volksturm and other militias, in addition to the unexploded ordnance. There is a warren of tunnels and secret passages, many unknown, to allow Nazi forces to move around the city. There is an entire city under the pavement. 1 month after the surrender. June 1945. Brandenburg Gate January 1946. Its been cleared up a lot 1960s So why in 1945 could people live in the ruins of a city but they can't in 2025? In a parallel universe, there is a slightly less insane, less stupid Trumpf. 5 February 2025. After hours of talks, the two leaders emerge, unsmiling. There are rumours that the Israeli Prime Minister offered Trumpf a gift of a gold painted pager glued to a bit of drift wood. The President reportedly declines it, citing he is there to get business done. Netanyahu looks glum Trumpf does all the talking. -

“Phu Toei Tiger” Dies While Undergoing Treatment for Snare Trap Injuries
UPDATE Picture courtesy of Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation A female Indochinese tiger, known as the “Phu Toei Tiger,” has died while receiving treatment for injuries sustained from a snare trap in Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Breeding Station, Uthai Thani province. The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) confirmed the tragic news, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by illegal animal traps in Thailand’s forests. According to the DNP’s official Facebook page, the tiger had been recovering well, showing normal eating and excretion patterns. However, on 3 February at 15:00 wildlife officials discovered the animal had passed away inside its enclosure. Angsana Mongsub, head of the Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Breeding Station, stated that there were no external signs of venomous bites or attacks from other animals. A post-mortem examination was conducted on 4 February at 10:30 by Dr. Phimchanok Songmongkol, a senior wildlife veterinarian, and her team. The autopsy revealed that the tiger was at least two years old and had sustained severe injuries to its right ankle and paw from the snare trap. A 2-centimetre wound was found on its right hind foot. Further internal examination indicated widespread inflammation, including: • Severe infection and necrosis in the right front leg wound • Extensive bronchial inflammation with fluid accumulation • Pericardial effusion (fluid around the heart) and inflammation of the heart tissue • Swollen and inflamed kidneys and renal membranes Additionally, 250 grams of straw and intestinal parasites were discovered in the tiger’s stomach. Other organs, such as the lungs, spleen, liver, and intestines, showed no signs of disease but had begun to decompose. Preliminary findings suggest that the tiger succumbed to multi-organ failure, particularly affecting the heart and kidneys, due to severe inflammation. Samples of blood, organ tissues, and parasites have been sent for further laboratory analysis to confirm the exact cause of death. The remains of the tiger have been preserved in cold storage, awaiting official disposal in accordance with the 2022 DNP regulations on handling protected wildlife remains. As the tiger was originally seized as evidence in an ongoing investigation, officials have logged the case at Lan Sak Police Station, with Police Lieutenant Mongkhon Rattanaburam overseeing the legal proceedings. This incident underscores the continued danger posed by illegal snare traps, which remain a significant threat to endangered wildlife, particularly apex predators such as Indochinese tigers. These big cats play a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance and are an indicator of a healthy forest ecosystem. Despite extensive rescue and treatment efforts, the severity of the tiger’s injuries ultimately led to its demise. Conservationists continue to call for stricter enforcement against poaching and illegal wildlife trapping to prevent further losses of Thailand’s endangered species.
