A Russian commander has publicly urged Vladimir Putin to put an end to the war in Ukraine, which has now dragged on for over three years.

 

The commander, reportedly serving in a unit near the city of Sudzha in Russia’s Kursk region, has now broken ranks by calling on the Kremlin to halt hostilities.

 

In a recent interview with prominent war blogger Maxim Kalashnikov, the commander was asked what he would do to win the war in Ukraine. His response was blunt: "I would stop the war altogether.''

Explosions were reported near Bryansk Airport overnight on June 6, with preliminary reports suggesting that Ukrainian forces targeted and destroyed several Russian missile systems ahead of a planned strike on Ukraine.

 

According to early accounts circulating on social media, the targets may have included Iskander missile launchers, a stockpile of Iskander missiles, a transport aircraft delivering additional munitions, and other military assets stationed at the airport.

 

Analysts suggest the attack may have disrupted an imminent Russian missile strike.

Ukraine targeted a Russian fuel depot situated near to a strategic bomber air base overnight.

 

Pictures on social media showed the Engels oil refinery, based in Saratov Oblast in western Russia, engulfed in flames.

 

The oil refinery is situated near one of Russia’s key airfields, housing long-range bombers including the Tu-95 and Tu-160.

Putin retaliates and send missiles to civilian zones killing more innocent people, why isn't Zelensky doing the same, why does Ukraine only targets military sites, I am for the one eye for one eye,  Zelensky should target any site in Russia regardless if it's military or not, he should do as the Russians do, close your eyes and shoot/push the button and will see where it lands, scare the shxxxxxxttt of the Russians, stop being the nice guy because whatever Ukraine does Putin calls it an act of sabotage and whatever Russians do it's an act of what??? murdering ??

I think ultimately striking civilians doesn't help Ukraine. Stick to military targets, all over Russia but especially those that form a direct threat to Ukraine. That also includes military personnel all over Russia.

Russia does hit innocent civilians & children on a daily basis, Ukraine has the right to do the same, if it helps Ukraine or not, honestly if they do or don't Russian will hit back, but in my opinion if Ukraine starts to hit Russian civilians Putin will start to wonder and so will his people and will put some pressure on Putin, as you see Putin has no scrupulous to hit anywhere and anybody

however Putin still has to start to think about other options as Ukrainians are hitting deep into the Russian territory and the Russian population now knows their leader his just a scumbag and a liar as he keeps telling them the Ukrainians use acts of sabotage and Russians have to defend themselves what a narrative the guy has
