Georgealbert Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Picture captured from rear dash-cam below. A crash occurred on Phetkasem Road near Soi 92/1 in the Lak Si district of Bangkok on 3 February, when a motorcyclist lost control of his bike and was run over by a 10-wheel lorry. Lieutenant Colonel Chayaphon Maliboon, Deputy Inspector of the Lak Si Police Station, was notified of the incident at around 09.15. He arrived at the scene with volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation and doctors from Siriraj Hospital. The victim, later identified as Sergeant Major Chawisit, a police officer in the 6th Regiment of the Security and Crowd Control Command, was found lying on his side wearing a helmet. Tragically, the impact of the lorry caused severe head injuries, with his skull crushed. His body was found in the second lane from the left. A backpack containing cash and a firearm belonging to the deceased was found nearby, along with his blue Honda PCX motorcycle, registered in Bangkok. In addition, a cream-coloured NETA V electric car, registered in Bangkok, showed signs of being struck by the motorcycle’s rear end. Witnesses provided statements that the electric vehicle driver, Mr. Patipat, had slowed to a stop near the intersection of Phutthamonthon Sai 2 Road due to a red light. He noticed the motorcyclist attempting to overtake his vehicle just as the 10-wheel lorry, travelling in the second lane, approached. Footage from the rear camera of the electric car revealed that the motorcyclist had been attempting to overtake the car when he lost control and fell, with the lorry running over his head. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. -- 2025-02-04 ScreenRecording_02-03-2025 17-41-36_1.mp4 2 1
lordgrinz Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Looks like he didn't know how to ride the bike very well, and I'll bet no license either. Good job eliminating themselves one at a time, maybe everyone who saw it will learn a lesson. Lane splitting in a country with narrow roads, and ill-trained drivers is insane.

Lane splitting is illegal in the wide roads that the US has, but legal in this country it is truly insane. Supply of stupid drivers here will also never run out 1
