Or it’s just because this is a thread discussing an inflammatory proposal on Gaza and the Palestinians.

Why is this inflammatory?

You said this to me on 6 Feb at 09.21

“No evidence just pure Islamophobic hate mongering”

You don’t think this is a slur, but using the word antisemite is a slur; as I have had to remind you on many occasions, the hypocrisy of your double standards is breathtaking.

Well you seem to have found a date and post. So how about providing a quote so we can both read it in its full context.

Trump is using a negotiation ploy to get other countries in the region involved to develop solutions for the (many)  decades old Gaza problem. They (of course) objected to Trump’s proposal so let them come forth with their suggestions.

If only that were the truth. The reality is that this is an idea that someone in Trump's family else voiced a year ago. It's not a negotiation ploy, it's their plan.

No that's not the reality, it came from another source.

The man with the plan: DC prof sent Trump study on Gaza relocation, development in July

An expert in economics and international relations and head of the university’s Center of Excellence for the Economic Study of the Middle East and North Africa (CEESMENA), Pelzman authored the plan and submitted it to Trump’s team as early as July 2024.

Okay, this is a good start. Someone willing to discuss on facts.

But you are ignoring the fact that Jared Kushner talked about it in March 2024. The fact that they went away and did a feasibility study only bolsters the evidence that Kushner was the first to talk publicly about it...in March 2024.

In other words, it's not a negotiation tactic, it's a plan.

I am ignoring nothing. The plan was not from him so irrelevant

So how do you explain the difference in the dates? Please explain it as you claim that you aren't ignoring it.

What are you talking about, the plan was devised by Professor Pelzman. Already been posted

Again, how do you explain that fact that Jared was talking about it on February 15th 2024? You are suggesting that the idea was only published in July 2024?

Either way, you are only bolstering my assertion that it is a plan and not a negotiation tactic.

I have no need to explain the facts, what you want to make of what Jared said or didn't is up to you.

You cannot explain them because you do not have an explanation.

Jared Kushner talked about a "Gaza Riviera" at Harvard University on Feb 15th 2024. The paper to which you refer was published some time after that, in July 2024. This is  incontrovertible.

It went to the Trump people because they have been working on it for a while, even during the first presidency.

Anyway, thanks for the discussion. It was somewhat illuminating.

Your welcome

Media reports suggest Trump's idea was based on a 49-page document drawn up by Washington-based economics professor Joseph Pelzman last summer. His plan for Gaza included renewable energy, a light rail system, airports and harbors, digital governance and beachfront hotels.

What Jared's conversation was had no plan other than, a conversation, not the plan that Trump took on board.

I'm not sure why you have posted that? Is doesn't change the published date from July 2024. So there is still that discrepancy.

You agree that there is a discrepancy, don't you?

Are you suggesting that Kushner didn't discuss it with his Father-In-Law before he talked about it in Feb 2024? That Trump only heard about after the paper was published in July 2024.

That would seem incredible, wouldn't it?

Where did I claim it did, moving Gazans out is not a new idea, its been discussed many times by different people not just Jared.? There is no other plan published. Fact, the plan published is the one Trump took with him and ran with.

As someone who stumbled onto this and doesn't really care either way, is it not conceivable that while this Pelzman guy was writing/researching his paper, he had discussed it with others?  I doubt he was locked into a secure facility while working - quite possible others knew about it and talked about it, the Jared puppet included.

So what?  Mountain, molehill, etc.  The things people argue about on the internet, lol.

That's why I'm asking. Because you appear to be suggesting that Trump's Son-In-Law would somehow keep the President in the dark about this idea touted by himself at Harvard University no less. Only for Trump to have found out about it in a random paper in July 2024.

But I already told you that its irrelevant what Jared said, the plan is not published by him. Besides its not going to work unless Hamas are eliminated first.

The critical challenge is that it ignores the plight of the Palestinians. Which is why every proposal fails.

Also there is the fact that the three main backers of Jared Kushner's Affinity Partners fund(the one initially funded by US$2,000,000,000 by the Saudis during the first presidency) are the three entities that will be offered waterfront property rights. Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.

All this predates the paper by the little known professor.

The critical challenge is in this link that I already posted to you :saai:
