Is this a major city? Are they well paid and fully occupied by their company? It's the same all over the world. If you put a woman in this position she won't have a family and work until she dies like the men.

Bangkok.  One has a good job and the other is currently working in the US in a clerk job.

It's not a trap. Being single and renting in bangkok is a trap. How many of these women are loaded up to the eyeballs in debt? They wanna pretend like they're men and climb the corporate ladder, just like in the west. This leads to many more problems than I can even possibly list. 

This is a result of feminism, the greatest weapon against the family unit of all time.
