Locals get annoyed because they cannot overcharge Israelis  because they  wont accept their over inflated prices ??

They were eating food and then try to haggle the prices. Basically just really belligerent stuff like that.

Thailand will always be known as a cheap holiday, sex holiday, drunk holiday, do what you want.  Nothing will change just more of the aforementioned will keep coming.

As long as they were sat down and eating their food and not eating whilst walking long the street , thats the most important thing

What's the big attraction in Pai ??

Easy, sweaty, loose farang hippie chicks keen for a right shagging, since all the farang guys are with Thai birds.

They tend to be quite fragrant but I don't mind.

Patchouli helps.

It's general bad behavior that doesn't result in arrests. If they come in to a shop and complain then haggle the price aggressively this doesn't get them arrested and produce stats but the locals take notice.

So when you have no stats you can make things up. Brilliant!!

Just telling you what people told me. Not everything is an arrest and deportation with statistics.

But I would still have to drive that winding road to get there. Even 20 years ago that was stressful.

Believe me it stil is.

84 weed shops!

When I first went there (only visited twice) I dont think there were 84 buildings in the village.

Doesn't mean they all sell "topclass" If any?

The breakdown by nationality isn't complete, but there doesn't seem to be a massive Israeli bias in the figures to justify the bashing they get?

One of the main issues the Thais have with the Israelis is they don’t let Thais (or other non Jews) into their enclave.

Mr Menachem Mendel Zajac, the 29-year-old Jewish religious leader and caretaker of the Chabad House in Pai, then told local journalists that due to security concerns, particularly after an Israeli citizen was killed in India, the house is off limits to foreigners (including Thais) and they have to request police protections from the local Thai police.

The fact that it’s also off limits to Thais will likely, if not inevitably, continue to be a cause of contention to some Thais ...

Maybe I should go.  Haven't had a free shag for 30 years.

Reports of them stealing also and driving other tourists away.

“The complaints say they are drunk and rowdy… they steal,” Police Major Kriengkrai Sansalee told This Week in Asia. “[People say] they come in large groups, spend a little and bargain a lot. Local businesses are affected the most because when they come, other tourists go elsewhere.”

If they don’t like the prices they should just move on.

Eating the food and then negotiating a discount after you have eaten is very ugly behavior.

That is a report from last week , will you be posting it for the next 25 years ?

There are already  numerous threads about Israelis in Pai and your news report has already been posted in those threads numerous times , this is a thread about foreigners in Pai

How many weeks will be rating about the same stuff in pai TIT

Maybe when the stop stealing, when they stop banning Thais and other non Jews from their enclaves, when they stop smoking weed in front of children and old people, when they stop negotiating prices for meals they have already eaten etc.

I predict it won’t end soon. The Thai Prime Minister is involved, the police, the immigration and Deputy PM is heading up there this week.
If anyone will be able to stop it it will be Anutin.

It isn’t my thread.

Better I post news with quotes from business owners, rabbis and police than read your posts of nothing. You have never even been to Pai.

You will learn a lot reading my posts of nothing Nick.

If you read the OP you will see that it is about Israelis in Pai.

They are the only nationality mentioned.
