Fortean1 Posted yesterday at 08:06 AM Posted yesterday at 08:06 AM So far my mail service in January and February has resulted in no mail to me here a few miles south of Hua Hin. I am missing two monthly issues of the British magazine, Fortean Times; one Christmas mailing from Stacey S. who lives in my hometown of Evansville, Indiana; and one tax document (1099R) from the U.S. Army. Also, bills from NT (internet and landline phone) and True Visions (television only) have not shown up. After 16 years of relatively good mail service it seems there is a glitch in the matrix. That magazine is usually two or three weeks late. A few times I have received two issues on the same day. I welcome any comments on similar or worse mail service. Terry ( a few miles south of Hua Hin ) . . .
Etaoin Shrdlu Posted yesterday at 08:55 AM Posted yesterday at 08:55 AM I received a Christmas card here in Bangkok during the second week of February that was posted from Mountain View, CA on December 20th. Two 1099s were received on February 21st, one posted on January 23rd and the other on January 27th, one from PA and the other from, I think, upstate NY. Under normal circumstances, it usually it takes first class mail from the US about ten days to arrive.

I still have not received my US Social Security 1099, wife got hers a few weeks ago, we always, at least in the past gotten them on the same day, luckily I have an online account so was able to go there and get a copy.
Andrew Dwyer Posted yesterday at 09:04 AM Posted yesterday at 09:04 AM Here in Ayutthaya it is also abysmal, for me anyway, International mail rarely arrives, sometimes I can go to the sorting office and they just give me it as if they just couldn’t be bothered delivering it, other times it just disappears. Put this down to an address written in English but in Thai it is not much better ! My True Visions bills are usually delivered in 4 or 5 at a time with a rubber band around them and there is always a couple missing. I live in a moobahn not out in the sticks with an obscure address and i have come to the conclusion that this is as good as it gets.
TCAK Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I live in Hua Hin and my mail goes through the Pala-u post office. In November I recieved 4 notices from the IRS within 3 days of each other. All were mailed in March. I went to the Post Office to complain and they told me they don't the sorting only the delivery. Been going on like this for years. 1
Randy99 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I'm having difficulty getting outbound mail delivered to Canada. Sent 2 first class airmail letters almost a month ago. Neither has arrived. Mind you it could be Canada Post is the problem.
giddyup Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago In Pattaya any mail from Australia can arrive months after being posted, or not at all. This can create problems if it's something like a Proof of Life form from Centrelink that asks for the form to be returned before you've even received it, resulting in pension being terminated. 1

Very true. My UK pension was terminated as I never received it costing me time & money to rectify it. The tax people have sent me a cheque last August for overpayment which never arrived. I, too, live in a distinguished moobaan in Pattaya and only ever receive local bills. Last year I went to a Post office locally and was charged 400+ baht to mail a letter to UK. It never arrived & when I returned with my proof of posting, the place had shut down! 3rd World. 1
