Foreign men married to Thai women are the scum under Thailand's feet. Serves him right, he didn't give a toss about the country's rules. Second part absolute BS. 1 1

Now, as to the intelligence of posters accusing him of being a criminal - you are leaving little room for doubt. 1

He probably lived in casually rented accommodations from people who didn't bother with any kind of reporting. If he lived quietly enough, not calling attention to himself or causing others problems, it was easy to just blend in. Not so simple supporting himself legitimately in those circumstances, though. 1

But usually in such circumstances, i.e. Police / Immigration publicity such as this, had there been any other wrong doing we'd be reading all about it... The void of other information lends to the assumption that this guy was leading a quiet life, though as you mentioned, that remains to be seen and given the lack of follow up, I doubt we'll ever know. 1

Could he not simply be receiving his pension or living on overseas assets ?? Though, if that were the case, I wonder why he was unable to meet visa regulations - perhaps he just couldn't be bothered and by the time it went so far his best option was to keep his head down. 1
