Nowaythatsreal Posted Thursday at 06:34 AM Posted Thursday at 06:34 AM As I understand it the immigration officer has sole discretion on the approval of an extension renewal. This seems to me to be rather draconian. Is it possible to appeal a rejection decision and if so what is the procedure? 6
Popular Post DrJack54 Posted Thursday at 07:10 AM Popular Post Posted Thursday at 07:10 AM Don't understand while an appeal would be necessary. Immigration has head officer and others doing the grunt work. Of course they also tick off the requirements. The requirements for extensions based on retirement are VERY clear and simple. The io would advise what is incomplete and needs addressing. The obvious main one being financial requirements. Not draconian at all. 2 3 2 5

From AI...... "To appeal a denied Thai immigration visa extension, you would need to submit an "Appeal Letter" to the Immigration Bureau, typically alongside the original application form (TM.7) and supporting documents, explaining the reasons why you believe the decision to deny your extension was incorrect; this appeal should be addressed to the relevant immigration office where you initially applied for the extension." What chance would that have. Zip. 2 2

When they deny for bull-reasons, all you can do is move to another area, or use an agent - possibly in another area, if no agents operating in your area.. There is no "oversight" to speak of. Some offices are infamous for making up fake-reasons to deny applications.

Popular Post J Branche Posted Friday at 02:19 AM Popular Post Posted Friday at 02:19 AM You spend how much time interacting with the IO office? I'm always trying to make it as easy and enjoyable experience as possible. We have all seen what they deal with at least at Chonburi Jomtien and I wonder how they keep it together sometimes. Having all requirements and documents in order, show respect, smile, don't get angry and don't give them a reason to target you? 1 2 7
DaRoadrunner Posted yesterday at 06:16 AM Posted yesterday at 06:16 AM It would help others respond if you advised us what was the reason for rejection? 2
Nowaythatsreal Posted yesterday at 06:26 AM Author Posted yesterday at 06:26 AM I was not asking if the reason for rejection was reasonable I was just asking if there was an appeals procedure 🤷♂️
sharot724 Posted yesterday at 06:37 AM Posted yesterday at 06:37 AM When I was rejected the person reviewing, by my incoming documentation. I asked to have the io review. After, was told that the rejection was upheld. Two deposits in same month as one slipped by one day 2 1

Did you have to go through the procedure that DrJack outlined above?
