The Democrat Party Is On The Verge Of Collapse

Featured Replies

NEW: Bill O’Reilly says Donald Trump is bringing the Democratic Party “on the verge of COLLAPSE.”

He says it could take 20 years — an entire generation — for Democrats to recover.

It turns out, when your entire platform revolves around hating and opposing Trump, you no longer have a platform worth running on.

O’Reilly explains:

“I think the Democratic Party is on the verge of collapse. And I liken it to 1931, when Herbert Hoover and the Republican Party basically said to the very suffering American people in the Depression, ‘We’re not helping you. You got to do it on your own. It’s all about self-reliance. We’re not going to give you any safety nets.’ That led to five consecutive Democratic wins. Five. Not until Dwight Eisenhower, 20 years later, did the Republicans recover. I see the same scenario for the Democrats.”

“What happened [to the Democratic Party]? What happened was Trump hatred. And that’s what the headline is of the speech [Tuesday] night. When you are hating someone, you lose all perspective, you lose all feeling, you’re consumed. And I wrote a book, it’s going to be out in September, called Confronting Evil. And these people who did all these terrible things, they all had one thing in common. They hated. They were just haters across the board. That’s what you saw in that chamber last night.”

Personally I'm not a fan of Bill O'Reilly, I don't even like him.  He's an arrogant jack-ass. But he does have a point.  I can clearly see it right here on AseanNow in the reaction of Democrat and progressive liberal AN members.  We're right back to Trump's first term where these people literally spent four years spewing hatred for Trump at every chance possible on social media.  And they are right back at it for Trump's second term.

They are irrational.  As O'Reilly rightfully points out, "When you are hating someone, you lose all perspective, you lose all feeling, you’re consumed."  These people are consumed which leads them to completely over-the-top antics like this unending expression of Trump-hatred on social media. The antics drives rational people around them to reject what they claim they stand for.
The antics of the entire Democrat collective in Congress during the Trump speech last Tuesday exemplifies just how far out of touch these people are.  In my own opinion it would be a good thing if the Democrat Party self-destructs and then rises again out of the ashes in the form that I personally remember: An organization which supported rational liberalism and social policies, and who were collectively anti-war.  Well, I can wish.

The Republicans have been getting flushed down the toilet by that laughingstock in special elections. Which is fitting for sewer dwellers.

Democrats’ Biggest Overperformances So Far This Year: ‘Eye‑Popping’

So all republicans are sewer dwellers?

The Democrat party may destroy itself without any help from Trump or the GOP.

It should have been a fairly easy road to electoral victory in November, but the vocal "progressive" faction is going to make that very difficult. This is best illustrated by the Senate race in Michigan. Of the 3 main candidates in the Democrat primary, the "progressive" is forcing a savage resource wasting dogfight that will leave the Democrats in tatters. If the "progressive" wins because the 2 other candidates split their moderate voters, then the senate race will go to the GOP, because the "progressive" with his positions, will scare off enough voters to cost the race. If a moderate Democrat prevails, the campaign war chest will be spent, and the party fractured. This scenario will play out in multiple critical districts. The Democrat voters will be split and alienated.

The opposite is true. MAGA is on the verge of imploding upon itself. Trump is destroying any GOP hope with this recklessness.

If he was being honest, he would say:

I am a highly ignorant man, I'm not sure what else I can say. I know I always pretend to know everything but as you all know that is the polar opposite of the truth. Please, can you help us now? We're getting our asses kicked, the Iranians have caught us flat footed, I don't know why I listened to the ignoramus Natanyahu to begin with, but we really need some help, please, pretty please.

This man is a complete madman and an insane super freak, and he has spent 14 months disrespecting our allies and now he's asking them to come to our rescue. Well good luck with that Don.

Why would any nation put their navy at risk for this toxic street trash goomba? He started this mess. He dug this hole and he's going to have to figure out a way to dig himself out of it.

My guess is that he will withdraw with his tail between his legs, and claim a false victory having accomplished nothing except destruction of the world economy and more turmoil, but that's why we call him Mr. Chaos, isn't it?

He is a simpleton nimwit, being advised by people that he picked from the absolute bottom of the barrel, but that's just Don. It's a shame because tens of millions of people thought he was somebody else. And he sure is showing his true colors now.

And both of his sons just purchased a company that is going to be making drones for the US Armed Forces, so guess what? This whole thing just might have been about self enrichment for his family, and nothing more. The massive and unadulterated corruption continues, Trump style.

The amount of chaos Trump has caused for the entire planet with his unnecessary forever war is astounding. It was sich a bad choice and the timing could not have been worse, as the world economy is already challenged enough. This means nothing to him as his wealth continues to grow through massive corruption.

What did they think was going to happen with the strait and why did they think they could handle the consequences of this recklessness.

Trump deserves severe punishment for this act. America will be reaping the blowback for years to come and nobody knows how long the chaos will last. Dumb and dumber. Pure Don style stupidity and staggering levels of ignorance and hubris. The only good that can come from this is if MAGA devotees finally realize what a dunce they supported and rise up against this street trash pig president.

One of the biggest liabilities that Trump had leading up to this war was the decision to use two absolute imbeciles in the form of Witkoff and Kushner. They are both rabid Zionists, they both deliberately lied to Iran during the negotiations in order to fool them into thinking that the US was sincere, and look at the outcome that we have.

The thing that a very tiny mind like Trump doesn't get is that Iran will not negotiate with the US at this point. Many reports are coming out that Witkoff is begging the Iranian foreign minister for meetings and his calls are not being returned.

The US has backed themselves into a corner and the economic devastation has been way beyond what they anticipated, and the price they're going to pay for this in the midterms is going to be brutal. Unchecked inflation, rising unemployment, the closing of hundreds of thousands of small businesses, no return of manufacturing to the US, a shortage of labor due to extreme and short sighted immigration policy, and the abandonment of any hope that Trump would improve the quality of life for Americans, but instead we get sabotage of those hopes for the entire planet.

Don's demise will be a good thing, as Trump will lose his power and he will just become a whiny gutter trash punk, will have to deal with being doubly impotent, and hopefully he will eventually disappear into oblivion. Morbid sickness is quite likely, considering his rapid decline, and his three or four cheeseburger a day diet.

See ya Don. You will not be missed, the world will celebrate your demise with such glee, millions will take to the streets and welcome the return of civility, decency, honor, grace and hope.

To be calling Harris a Socialist/Marxist is an utterly ludicrous statement totally devoid of perspective or knowledge or any kind of political merit. It does though show how difficult any kind of recovery by the US from the current loss of power, perspective and simple human decency will be. Probably a generational task. At least. And there will be much pain.

The world's most powerful country and in pole position when the Iron Curtain came down, inside 30 years the US has become a chaotic, declining ex-empire (despite all your guns and boats and planes) which is becoming increasingly isolated, poorer and shunned by decent societies and for all its size is no longer top dog.

It's become a country that would rather burn food than give it to the starving. That regularly unleashes bomber terror on defenseless populations (having learned nothing at all from Vietnam). And walks out of all its commitments spitting and farting at its former allies and friends. While groveling to the enemies of the enlightenment.

It's very much like a Cinemascope version of the moronic Brexit. And also with very much of the Breximoron's rhetoric claiming, just like the Union Jack clad Brittanic nutters 'ruling the waves', to be 'victims' of their best friends and allies. Pathetic!

Fortunately other alliances are rapidly being forged by the genuinely social democratic and free 'west' from Australia to the EU, via south America, Japan and Asia. The US is fast becoming a pariah on a par with Russia. And big as it is, the rest of the world is bigger.

I agree that the Dems seem to be heading for perdition. Even though in your eyes I have no doubt that I'm a cheese eating eurocommy surrender monkey, I actually think that's a good thing. Like the UK the US has no genuine Social Democratic Party or even a decent opposition. The Dems failed to prevent even something as sickening and cruel and obviously as necessary to avoid at all costs as a second Trump presidency. As such they have become superfluous. Basically they are the softer buttock of the real ruling oligarch party.

The only silver lining to a Trump 'presidency' for me is the secure knowledge, because I'm not politically and historically uneducated, that the likes of you and Yagoda and all the other demented howling fan boys and gobby bullies will also feel the awful pain that Trump and his sycophants will inflict on the entire country - and you'll have noone to turn to.

Harris a Marxist/Socialist indeed. What stunning political illiteracy and ignorance.

If true, that would be the end of the 2-party system as the Republican Party ceased to exist several years ago.

When I think of the Dem party, I think of JFK and how he was against Marxism. It looks like the Republicans are really afraid of what may happen in November.

Let's hope they don't become nice before then.

Meanwhile, don't forget the Epstein files, photos and videos.

The recent electoral events are in districts that were not critical and were not out of the ordinary. People who vote in off cycle elections are usually voting against someone or something and not for a specific candidate. It is a common characteristic of both Democrat and Republican administrations.

There is no argument that Democrat voting intentions have increased. However, a closer look shows that the trend is most significant in Democrat held districts and seats. It is an increase in voter polarization. The erosion of Republican votes may not be enough to swing control because the Republican majority is too high in some regions.

If you go back and read my comment, I acknowledge the increase of Democrat support. The reason I gave Michigan as an example is that it is symptomatic of several key seats/districts that must be won by the Democrats. Abdul El-Sayed is running for the Senate Democrat nominee. He has enthused the Arab ethnic and the youth demographic which is critical for a victory. The sitting Congresswoman Haley Stevens is a young female and the favourite of the party hierarchy, afro Americans, older voters, whites and donors. State Senator Mallory McMorrow is strongly supported by womens groups and progressives. She was a supporter of Sen. Elizabeth Warren's candidacy and endorsed Kamala Harris. The only person who has a realistic shot at capturing GOP and independent votes is Stevens. If she is not nominee, it is unlikely El-Sayed or McMorrow can win. If Stevens manages a victory, it will be expensive. She would be going up against the presumed GOP nominee, Mike Rogers, who was a popular and well regarded Congressman. The primary process is not helping the Democrats.

The DNC big tent strategy is fine for local elections, but it just won't work at a national or a statewide level. Conservatives, moderate/centrists are not comfortable sharing space with the vocal, aggressive urban activist leftists that now dominate some parts of the party. The Democrats do best when they stay in the middle. An embrace of the Mamdami type agenda will torpedo democrat national prospects.
