We have legalised the affirmation from British Embassy, now we want to get married, in Kalasin in June but can not find any details of where to go, or can we get married in Bangkok? her Tabien Ban is in Somdet i think. And we put on the affirmation we hoped to marry in Kalasin. Just get a marriage certificate, no wedding ceremonies' planned. Thanks

You go to the Amphur Office - you will need two Thai witnesses, you may need to book an appointment.

If choosing to undertake the legal Marriage in Bangkok, Bang Rak is perhaps the most 'foreigner friendly' Amphur office to go through the process.

One thing I'm not sure of is if 'Amphur offices' take walk-ins for legalising a marriage, they used to, but at some point within the past 10 years that may have changed.

If you want to marry in Kalasin, then just go the government office complex there and ask around. Just about every citizen in the city will know where the Amphur is. All you need then is to find yourself 2 witnesses.

You go to the Amphur office where you're fiancee has her housebook registered. From what I can find out there are 18 Amphurs in Kalasin Province, so figure out which one her housebook is registered in and Bob's your uncle.  If it's Amphur Somdet, then that's where you go.  I'm surprised your fiancee doesn't know this already.  Hummm?

If it's a rural amphur, probably.  So Amphur Somdet?  It's probably a walk-in and your hitched. All that's left is consummating the marriage.

Thanks everyone. Just found out her address is registered in Bangkok.  Where she got married and divorced. Found the Kalasin Amphur, she is going to call them monday to make arrangements.

Found the Somdet Amphoe, staying near there for 4 nights  in June, and been told to just turn up with our documents and ID😄
