Is this piece an example of the journalist quality that those of us who source our information from the MSM are missing? If so, a bit of self-congratulation is in order. Well done me for being so discerning.

 

Do you seriously think that this rambling piece, which moves from discussing a national election in Romania to police raids in  Germany and the UK - no longer an EU member incidentally - in any way supports the headline: "The EU Is Authoritarian and Hates Democracy"?

The EU should stay out of Romania and whoever he is who just got elected should be President Do you agree?

Straight out the JV Vance school boys guide to free speech. Vance is arguing its better to have a countries elections be interfered with from Russia as a free speech right where speech can include lies and indoctrination, rather than uphold election law.

Romania is a member of the EU. National elections are the responsibility of the individual member states and independent of the EU. The judiciaries in the individual member states are independent of the EU. The interpretation of national law is a matter for the individual member states' judiciaries.

 

You really should familarise yourself with some of the basic facts about the relationship between the individual member states and the EU institutions.
