They were overthrown cause of unlimited corruption and for trying to change the constitution for family interests.

What about the soldier who led an illegal coup in 2014 and stayed for nine years? He was a worse tyrant then any Shinawatra.

Sorry if my comment was confusing. I was addressing the accusation that the PMs overthrown by coup were elected, as was Pita.

I personally think she'll resign for personal reasons, it was nothing that daddy told her and she's slowly but surely realizing this.  I think the other puppet thought the same, but tony needs them to sty in "power"

The Shinawatras tryin to change the constitution in their benefit is not opinion, it's fact.  Yingluck, Somchai, and Thaksin have tried to change it,

You obviously haven't got a degree. My degree was from 30 odd years ago. They still meant something back then. BTW Ordinary means Ordinary as opposed to an Honours Degree. Thank you for showing your level of education to all and sundry on here.

February 2004

  • The U.S. State Department reports that Thailand’s human rights record has “worsened with regard to extrajudicial killings and arbitrary arrests.” The report states that “[t]here was a significiant increase in killings of criminal suspects” in 2003 and that press reports indicated that “more than 2,000 alleged drug suspects were killed during confrontations with police during a three-month war on drugs from February to April.”

I was only in the country during the last year of Thaksins premiership so do not know a lot about him. What over 2000 people did he kill? If they were child abusers, murderers, rapists or drug dealers etc, then they did not deserve a place it this world.

I am not in agreement with the death penalty for only one reason, there are always people charged who were innocent. If it can be proven 100% beyond all doubt that anyone is guilty, then yes, give them the death penalty.

Extrajudicial killings greenlighted by Thaksin. If you don't know what extrajudicial means look it up.

You're ignorance is outstanding. Here's a simple AI lesson for you.

Yes, extrajudicial killing is a form of murder, as it involves the unlawful killing of a person without due process or a trial by a state or other entity.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Definition:
Extrajudicial killing, also known as extralegal killing, is the killing of a person without waiting for the result of a state trial or legal process.

  • Unlawful:
These killings are considered unlawful because they violate fundamental human rights, including the right to a fair trial and the right to life.

  • Murder:
Extrajudicial killings are considered murder because they involve the intentional and unlawful taking of a human life.

  • Examples:
Extrajudicial killings can take various forms, including police encounters, death squads, and killings by vigilantes or other groups.

  • Philippines:
In the Philippines, extrajudicial killings are commonly referred to as "salvaging".

  • Consequences:
The perpetrators of extrajudicial killings may face legal consequences, depending on the laws of the jurisdiction where the killing occurred.
