Argentinian Man Found Dead in Hotel Room in Phuket
Picture from responders. An elderly Argentine man has been found dead after reportedly hanging himself from the balcony of his hotel room in Phuket. Authorities are investigating the cause of death, and there are no signs of foul play. At approximately 10:35 on 25 March, local police were alerted to a foreign national’s death at a hotel in the Rasada area of Muang, Phuket. Upon arrival, police found the body of a 77-year-old Argentine man, later identified as Roberto Luis Gutierrez, hanging from a nylon rope tied to the balcony railing. The victim was wearing a grey t-shirt but no trousers, and an overturned chair was found on the balcony, suggesting he may have used it to climb before hanging himself. Phuket’s forensic medical team, along with police officers, conducted an initial examination and discovered a previous injury to the left wrist, consistent with self-harm. The body was transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital for further autopsy and investigation. A review of CCTV footage from 24 March revealed no signs of anyone entering the victim’s room, and there were no indications of a struggle or any missing valuables from the room. The investigation is ongoing, but authorities have ruled out the involvement of others at this stage. The Argentine Embassy has been contacted, and officials will work to arrange for the victim’s family to receive the body and arrange for funeral rites. The authorities are continuing their thorough examination to determine the full circumstances surrounding his death. ED Visa cancellation
Hi everybody. I am currently on an ED visa (language school for learning thai). It was obtained through one of the places where I didn't have to attend to class. In fact I don't even live in that area anymore but just meet them every 2-3 months to go with them to immigration and get a new stamp. Now my current stamp is also the last stamp and will finish on april 24. My plan is to make a border bounce with a company to Satun border to get the 60 days visa exemption. My question is: Do I have to do anything before april 24 about the ED visa. Like going to immigration and cancel it? I have read some stories dated a few years back saying that you should get a letter from the school and take it to immigration so they can cancel the stamp. But what would happen if I don't do anything and just make a normal border bounce?
