Bangkok Gears Up for 2028 Formula One Grand Prix with New Plans
Listen to Dr pulling words out of his backside. “Pivotal for F1”. Oh really? Pivotal? How? ”mitigate environmental and noise impacts”. What are they and how do you propose to do that? Pretending to be a modern nation worthy of hosting F1 races is one thing, being one is another. The only way they’ll get it is by bribing F1 officials. There’s no other tangible benefits to F1. -

Trump Officials Discussed Secret Yemen Strike Plans on Signal, Accidentally Added Journalist
From what I saw it looks like Hegseth actually stated the start time of an airstrike on the chat. From the start I have stated Hegseth should not be SecDef because he has not displayed the maturity the job requires. Technically he is a Major in the IRR (Individual Ready Reserve) AKA inactive reserve but who cares this does not mean "jack". This is how battle plans or all classified information are disussed: 1 In a SCIF (Sensitive Comparmented Information Facility) and with those people who are cleared and have a need to know. Certainly not on a commercially available and unsecure messaging app 2. Through secure email on the DOD SIPRNet system and again with those who are cleared and have a need to know. Also, who were the 19 members of the Houthi Group on Signal? Hegseth is suppose to know this. Even if the Atlantic journalist was inadvertently added to the chat the violation of NISPOM has occurred because the Signal app is not approved for secure US Government communications. Even the Agriculture Department would not be cleard to use Signal to discuss government business. Someone has to go. Let's see if Trump has the sense to fire someone? I doubt it. At least Hegseth can go back to Fox&Friends and take part in hot dog eating contests on the weekends. -

Relationship advice / your experiences - No card or gift
My wife and family are well taken care of... yes, by me. We used to have a very very minor New Year party for the kids - my wife doesn't remember my birthday, nor her own - - I remember and say happy birthday and that is the extent of it... We are not children and we could care less about days on a calender. No hurt feelings. What is really important is that when she was very ill, I took care of her, and rarely left her side. And she recently returned the favor when I was not well. We are here for each other with the goal of helping the other one to have a good life. It sounds like you have a nice relationship. Why worry or be hurt about superficial insignificant things? I am sure she is not intentionally trying to hurt you - it was likely not a family tradition for her and she does not know what you might consider proper actions. My wife and I are quite independent and neither one of us needs recognition of some greeting card occasion to make us feel cared for... get over it. -

Living alone in Bangkok
I'm in Pattaya, and every once in a while I think about moving to Bangkok, just for a change of scenery. Big cities can be fun. I once lived in New York City, so it's not as if a big city would be anything new for me. Anyway, I think about it and then I finally come to my senses and decide I'd be better off maintaining a condo at the beach in the Pattaya area as a base of operations and then travel around when I want. Bangkok isn't that far away if I ever want to go and spend a month there. It doesn't have to cost too much to stay there for a month. Ditto for trips to just about anywhere else in Thailand or even elsewhere in SE Asia. Just hop on a plane and in an hour or so, you're there. There's no real reason why I have to be anywhere, so long as I have my laptop, my phone, and my iPad and internet access.
