Trevor does excellent pork pies as,well.

Speaking of pies, Sloane has a Chiang mai shop online. You can get anything there, beef n mushroom pie, chicken n ham pie, beef wellington.

I tried their back bacon which is pretty good. However, their online shop is totally unusable sadly, items do not shop in the cart.

OMG near the iron bridge at the Ping end of Loy Kroh Road. Excellent breakfasts. Best Fish and Chips I have had in CM (haven't tried Chippy at the Gate yet). Very decent Sunday roast.

What is the name of the place?

Very good Brit food menu. Bangers n mash, fish and chips, home made sausage roll and cornish pasty.

You even get a pickled onion, slice of pickled 'wally' and crusty bread and butter with the fish and chips (and not charged as 'extras'). Choice of cod or haddock (I always have the haddock). It really is the best I have eaten in CM.

I taught my wife how to make pies , and she's good at it now,

steak and kidney , minced beef and onions , corn beef and onion

pasties , apple pies , got some proper pie tins from UK , make a

batch then put them in the freezer.. lot cheaper than shop bought

and I know what goes in them...

The menu looks really impressive. This one will be worth a try. Choice of cod or haddock is nice.

It's not cheap, but the large fish and chips at Chippy at the Gate is 395.

If you get a pizza you also pay the same more or less.

love burnt cheesecake and tried it in many varieties but never Durian. Wonder what that tastes like.

That one was a bit rich with Durian  burps

it was made while I was in Malaysia and their Durians are more pungent they turn their nose up at Thai durian

With Thai Durian it probably would be less pungent I imagine.
Not had access to an oven in Thailand yet.

( but burnt cheesecake is very easy to make )

Blueberry scones I made in USA the blueberries fresh off the bush/tree

248 Mahidol Rd, Pa Daet Sub-district, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50100

Sloane's has a shop on the north side of Mahidol, just past the PTT, heading east. Its in a office Park, tricky to find, as you don't see it from where you turn in at. Not a pie connoisseur, but use their products, & for years. Sloane's is great. Using  Chorizo sausage today, to add to a soup. Sage onion Dressing & gravy for Christmas (Thanksgiving) sides. Sold at Rimping & Tops also.

I agree, Sloane's is pretty good. Just a shame their online shop is not working so you can see the price list.

Yeah it's farang prices.

It is a western style restaurant, serving western food to western customers. What would you expect, Thai prices?

If you are capable, you really need to think before you post to save yourself from further embarrassment.

It's fish and chips goose. Low class western food at inflated prices. I've had imported steak for less or French meals. Its only worth 200 baht max.
