I know it's been done to death, but it's so blooming confusing.  My daughter is 15 and I need to get her a British passport, I am a British born, passport holder. What exactly do I need to bring to the appointment when I make one? ,I am reading all sorts on here and confusing stuff elsewhere online.

I have filled out the correct passport application. All counter signed and ready.

I have my British passport, long form birth certificate, my daughters birth certificate which inc my name.

My daughter's Thai passport ,mother's and mother's bluebook.

We are not married but I have found out my daughter is already a British citizen by default from date of birth and having a British parent not by decent.

My main confusion is on the documents I need to take and what photo copies of documents I need . I gather passports , birth certificates, blue book etc but I then read a photo copy of the counter signatories passport photo page?? The problem with that is he's gone back to the UK. Is this really needed? Any help from anyone that has gone through this process off late would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Presumably the counter-signatory completed and signed section 10?   From what I can see the copy of the counter-signatories passport does not need to be signed.  So presumably they can simply email it to you and you can print it.

Yeh but TiT. I suspect they will want a photo paper copy straight off the original . But thanks for the response and I will find out if an email print would suffice . I suppose it’s just a copy so wouldn’t matter anyways .

Get the counter-signatory to email you a photo of his passport ID page and just print it out.  It worked fine for me.

Yeh that’s what I have done , cheers mate glad to hear it worked 👍

when i did my daughters uk passport renewal...what the visa people didn't tell me was.

1. You have to have every page in her old uk passport printed including front and back.

2. Same for her Thai passport every page front and back.

3 . Her mother needs to write w letter agreeing that she can have the UK passport. What i did was print out, all in english on behalve of the her mother she signed in Thai and also attached her id card front and back.
