Two emergency medical staff were injured on the night of 17 April, after a white sedan crashed into their ambulance at a dark intersection in Phetchaburi province, flipping the emergency vehicle onto its side.

The incident occurred around 23:00, at the Khan Khlong Suea intersection in Ban Mo Subdistrict, Mueang Phetchaburi District. Responding officers from the local police found the emergency vehicle from Kaeng Krachan Hospital overturned on its side in the middle of the road.

Inside the ambulance were two trapped individuals: a female emergency medical technician and a male driver. Both sustained injuries and were later rescued by members of the Sawang Sanphet Dhammasathan Foundation and transported to Phra Chom Klao Hospital for treatment.

Nearby, officers located the white car involved in the collision, damaged at the front. The driver, identified as Mr Itthiphon, was unharmed. He told police that he had been driving alone from Khlong Suea Road towards central Phetchaburi when the crash occurred. He claimed the area was poorly lit and that he had not seen the intersection before ploughing directly into the side of the ambulance.

At the time of the incident, the ambulance had been en route from Kaeng Krachan Hospital to collect a patient from Phra Chom Klao Hospital. The journey was abruptly halted by the high-impact collision.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash and will determine whether further legal action will be taken against the driver of the sedan.

It is a 95% certainty that this ambulance had its lights flashing and it's sirens blaring

Why were lights and sirens going ?

That is normal operational procedure for an ambulance that is rushing a victim to a hospital, do we need more technical data than that?

Nah, you are 100% wrong.
