Gyms for sale?? Or start one

Recommended Posts

I was at work last night

A guy asked me " George what will you do when you retire ?

For some reason I blurted out "probably buy a gym in Pattaya !

And today I have decided to RESEARCH gyms particularly in Pattaya

I don't want a start a expensive gym , I will be happy with a profit of 10,000 a month

I want an "old school" type gym.

Would a gym be easy to start in Pattaya ?

No air conditioning I don't like it

I wonder if Tony's is for sale or that gym just up from Tony's , international?

I went in there once ,very very "old school" lol

I looked at Bear gym in Jomtien last year , lucky I didn't buy it ,it closed down.

Maybe I should start a gym

If anyone knows let me know

Location is important for a gym in Pattaya

Jomtien has too many ,in fact every condo has one

I may have to look for non farang area and start a cheap old school gym mainly for a Thai customer

I may have to look at that Darkside area

I wasn't happy with that Jomtien gym ( since moved ) who had a fingerprint / finger scanner to gain entry

I watched as one guy picked his nose then used his finger to scan in

As for BEAR GYM , it closed ,the owner wanted 4 million baht then dropped to 3 million baht

Earlier this year he ended up closing

I'm not sure why it didn't succeed ,it was there for 10 years ,anyone ever go there ?

The best gyms combine muay thai with weights.

No they do not

Bodybuilders love only bodybuilding gyms

Powerlifters love powerlifting

ALL totally different from fighting sports gyms

And if you don't believe me...ask them !!!

Would you fulfill the legal requirements to buy a gym? Having sorted this point go for research. However, to find qualified staff might be an obstacle. Also "no air con". I personally don't like to smell my neighbours sweat (or farts)

Muay Thai classes bring in the most money. Weights only gym struggle.

Wow, Good luck. 👍

I reckon you'll have lots of the guys here signing up for a membership if they can get themselves away from their keyboards.

I can assure you I won't be signing up for a gym

At well over 70 years young I will carry on with my afternoon walking 🚶‍♂️ exercise out for a hour daily

Good luck on the gym enterprise

If I were you I think I'd first try mastering the art of getting suitable holiday accomodation for a few weeks, as failure in that department seems to end up with you crying yourself onto the plane every trip vowing to do us all a favour and never return.
