Hi, I’m looking to buy a condo in Thailand.

 

What do I need about the money transfer abroad?  I believe I need something called a FET form or confirmation of inward remittance, but I’m not sure.

The condo is in Bangkok and I’m planning to pay from my account overseas. Any help would be appreciated.

 You will need a FET (foreign Exchange Transaction certificate)

This document proves  that  the  money for the condo purchase came from outside Thailand.

If you use Swift then all is simple.

If you use Wise then on the drop down you have to select   Funds for long term stay in Thailand.

This part you must get right.
