I always thought, Mr Unendless Whisdom, the Best Dealmaker in History, His Never Failing Genious, the narsistic and rancunous "grab-them-by-the-pussy" President of the USA was the best! You know, he even did not got his opponent, Vlad Putin, to be on the agreed time for a telephone call, and Vlad even smiled, when a Russian CEO remembered him on TV for this appointment.

Why are you pro israel but left leaning on everything else?

Probably because the State of Israel was founded by socialists. Many of the Kibbutz movements were socialist in nature; a couple were even Stalinist.

“Kibbutz” refers to collective communities in Israel that were historically characterized by collective ownership of property, an emphasis on the dignity of manual labor, a system of direct democracy and communal child care. In other words, no member exercised personal property rights but instead received toiletries, food and other necessities according to a distribution system. All members earned the same allowance for their work – regardless of whether their occupation consisted of milking cows, preparing meals or managing a large production facility. Children did not live in their family homes but instead grew up in communal, child-rearing facilities.

Many Kibbutzim tried to fully implement Marxist theory on a small scale. No private property was allowed, every possession belonged to the Kibbutz. The elected Kibbutz leadership micromanaged this small scale economy, assigning jobs and Kibbutz’s members usage of collectively owned property. Even children were considered to be a “collective property” and were raised by the Kibbutz kindergarteners and teachers, allowed to see their parents for only a few hours each day. This practice also applied to teenagers until they were conscripted by the age of 18. This experiment in collectivist child care and education has since been the focus of academic research.

Kibbutz is bottom‐up socialism on the scale of a small community. It thereby avoids the worst problems of state socialism: a planned economy and totalitarianism. The kibbutz, as a unit, is part of a market economy, and membership is voluntary: you can leave at any time. This is "socialism with a human face" — as good as it gets.

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion, but to put you out of your misery, and show that it is difficult to "pigeonhole" me with regards to politics and suchlike, here are a few of my likes and dislikes: –

– I am more pro-Israel than I am pro-Hamas and as for the Palestinians, well I don't particularly like them because I think they should have put up more resistance against Hamas, rather than being ruled by them. As for being "pro Israel", well I'm not a religious person in any way, shape or form, so all people who decide to worship an imaginary being as well as make up the rules as to how they should wear their hair or their clothes and go through rituals to worship this imaginary being, are, IMO, strange and/or odd.

– Never been a "left-leaning" person and voted on the right of centre in the two countries in which I am a citizen.

– I have never been a fan of the "woke" movement (or whatever you want to call it) and totally support the fact that a person should be determined by their sex at birth, irrespective of what surgery they've had since that time.

– I dislike the DEI movement because to me it signals that norms and rules should be bent (sorry about the pun) to include an extremely small minority of people who wish to be something that they're not/different.

– I like Zelensky because he is "fighting" for his country and has now entered into a deal with the US, but not before having to undergo bullying by Trump and Vance, but he stuck to his beliefs and looks like he has come out a winner.

– I detest Trump with a vengeance and quite how a dumb, compulsive liar, grifter, felon, multi-bankrupt and someone who steals from a charity to fund his business and campaign expenses is still in that position and still alive, is beyond me. Add to that the fact that he was found guilty of a sexual offence and you have the perfect portrait of a dipstick/idiot of the first order.

– Following on from that, Trump has put in some absolute bozos in important positions in his administration and so far they have been disasters.

– Also I think his "tariffs are good and will make us wealthy again" utterings really do show up the limit of his intelligence, which after the worldwide tariffs fiasco, and including the Penguins, could well bring many US companies to their knees.

– And just to balance things up a little I was no big fan of Joe Biden, but I would have him over Trump any day of the week, although neither of them now have enough functioning grey matter really needed to do that job, and neither did Harris, and quite why the Democrats couldn't put forward a better candidate as VP, probably shows the sad state of American politics at the moment.

So there you have it and I post and speak as I find.
