The parade will actually be the 250th Anniversary of the US Army. His birthday is coincidental

Scrapping Memorial day, replacing with 2 days dedicated only to WW1 and WW2. Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War 1/2, Afghanistan veterans didn't win enough I suppose. His statement pointedly insults the dead of the British Commonwealth, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Norway,  and many other nations, and trivialises their sacrifice. An ignorant man, grandson of a coward.

Correct as the article in the OP explained. It's military 250 anniversary - but Trump gets an add-in because it's his birthday - or at least that's what is being considered. Also correct about Memorial Day. Of course, in any case, few Americans reallize the WW2 D-Day involved many countries' forces. US landed at Omaha and one other beach, Canadians landed at Juneau Beach (famous video from inside landing craft and of the landing craft door dropping open), and British at Sword Beach. Few others realize that, in WW1, the US entered the war at almost the very end. The British and allied forces had fought to a stalemate with the German forces and its allies. Both sides exhausted and little military gains. The fresh arrival of allied (US) forces simply tipped the balance and that was the end of WW1.

Stop it. He's the most famous person in the world, his actions are devastating destructive, and he's in power now. If he's not in your head, it's doubtful you have one.

So just out of curiosity what has Trump done that has personally affected your way of life?

Politicizing the military is a bad idea.

And will we have to pay 145% tariffs on the fireworks?

The fireworks would have been sourced pre-tariffs, or at least orders placed. I assume the supply contracts from the US government would have included force majeure covering tariffs.

Smaller 4th July events in 2025 are likely to be impacted by increased costs, or even shortages. Larger, public, events less so. Typically, orders for fireworks for retailers major events, are placed 12 months before. At the moment the US 250th Birthday in 2026 may well be impacted, and some events may have to switch to alternative displays.

You're joking surely. The madness is 100% from your side mate as evidenced by the continual need to start "orange man bad" threads on here. I really don't see the need. Not going to change anything but it is amusing albeit a bit disturbing.

Tell ya what when trump stops and apologizes for disrespecting POWs stops degrading our war dead starts standing up for American ideals and actually learns when ww2 ended things might be a bit different personally I’m not holding my breath this man does not deserve to be honored by a parade all stop 🛑
