Crime Gang of Teenagers Attack Motorbike Repair Shop Owner in Pattaya

A violent altercation broke out in Pattaya after a group of youths stormed a motorcycle repair shop and assaulted its owner, reportedly in retaliation for an overnight storage fee dispute and a refusal to service a motorbike.

 

At around 13:00 on 13 May, Pol. Lt. Col. Pakorn Muensikeaw of Bang Lamung Police Station received a report of an assault involving a group of teenagers at a motorbike garage in Soi Khao Noi, near the railway tracks, Nong Prue Subdistrict. Police patrol units were immediately dispatched to the scene.

 

There they found Mr. Woramet Nilket, 27, the owner of the garage, with head injuries and visible bruises. The shop itself showed clear signs of a struggle, tools and equipment were scattered and damaged.

 

According to Mr. Woramet, the incident stemmed from an argument the previous night (12 May). Two teenagers had pushed a broken motorbike to his shop around 22:40, but as the garage had already closed, he advised them to leave the bike overnight so he could inspect it the next day. The owner of the bike later phoned in the morning to ask about the repair, but was told the shop hadn’t yet reopened. The bike was then taken elsewhere.

 

Mr. Woramet said he charged the bike owner a 100-baht storage fee, which led to a heated argument. The young man allegedly threatened him, saying, “You’ll see what happens next.” Later a group of teenagers, including the bike owner, returned to the shop and violently assaulted him.

 

Fortunately, the entire incident was captured on the shop’s CCTV system. Footage shows a youth in a white shirt pushing the bike to the shop on the night of 12 May, speaking briefly with the owner’s partner, before being picked up by another motorcycle. The following afternoon, the same individual returned with a group to carry out the attack.

 

Initial police investigations confirmed the involvement of approximately ten male and female suspects. Officers are using the CCTV footage as key evidence in the case and have encouraged the victim to file an official complaint to pursue legal action.

 

The suspects remain at large as police continue their investigation.

Tthere must be other places in Pattaya they could go to, to fix thre bike.

Plenty of 24 hour bike shops around the place, possibly just not in his immediate area.

I think it had just packed in on them... spoiling their planned late night whizzing about making a nuisance of themselves.

Really, not an area I frequent, but where I live I doubt I would find one!

Hard to get to another area when your bike is broke I suspect!

The owner of bike seemed to grow a set of balls when he returned with the dirty herd. I must admit the 100 baht storage fee is a bit over the top. Surely this should've been mentioned prior to the owners departure and let the bike owner decide whether he wanted to pay the fee or not.
