Getting things ready to mount my Feyree EV Charger  model: F-OBZ2-AC-3P32 (initially in 1 phase mode) and thinking of including a small CU with: Double Pole breaker, voltage/current display, under/over voltage protection and MOV's.

The unit says it has all this built in (except the MOV's), but the low volts actuates at 84V and high volts at 265V.

The incoming phase voltage to our house varies greater than or less than about 13 V over the day.

PEA have some new transformers installed on the village main supply, but not connected yet. Transformer installed but line fuses not connected....for months.

The house has AVR's on the supply so mostly OK but when I connect the EV charger in the garage it won't be on the AVR feed, so I feel I need to tighter under/over voltage specs like 10V.

Good idea or not having another under/over voltage protection?

It can never hurt to have more protection 🙂

Don't forget you will need a Type-B RCD/RCBO on that circuit as well.

The specs for the unit say it has typeA and B RCBs.

Maybe include another one as well.

From past experience I now don't trust Chinese specs. All specs seem amazing, but can't get into the box to check.
