In an unusual turn of events in Singapore, a Thai national found himself sentenced to 10 days in jail after resorting to bribery in an attempt to avoid a fine for public urination. The man, 54-year-old Nanjaijumpa Kham-Ai, pleaded guilty on June 2nd to offering a bribe to auxiliary police officers, a move that backfired significantly.
