A delivery dispute in the bustling district of Mueang, Nonthaburi, turned violent on June 5, when a rider assaulted the owner of a mobile phone repair shop. Known by the alias Boom Bang Yai, the rider attacked the proprietor, Big, following a disagreement over a delayed package pick-up.

The incident was officially reported on June 9, when Big recounted the unsettling event. He explained that he had contacted an orange delivery service to dispatch a parcel. However, as he finished packing, the delivery rider arrived outside his shop. CCTV footage detailed that the rider initially parked and waited. When the shop didn't immediately open, he left, only to return an hour later with a change of clothes and a different motorcycle.

Upon his return, the rider’s actions turned aggressive. After knocking at the shop door, he charged inside as Big opened it and launched an unprovoked attack. During the assault, Boom Bang Yai declared his long-standing local presence, stating, “I’ve lived here for over 20 years. Everyone knows me as Boom Bang Yai,” before making his exit.

Injured and concerned for his safety, Big reported the incident to Bang Yai Police Station. The examination, following police advice, uncovered bruising around his left eye, a split lip, and chest injuries. Big speculated the root of the rider's aggression might have been tied to his cancellation of the order after extended delays sparked concern over timely delivery to his customer.

Reflections reveal that Big generally enjoys positive interactions with delivery personnel, marking this as his first such confrontation. The initial minor delay in packing, a mere four minutes captured on CCTV, could have been the trigger for the rider’s frustration.

The police, having completed Big’s statement, have traced the rider’s identity and address. They are currently waiting on the full medical report to proceed with issuing a summons for Boom Bang Yai to answer the charges. Should he fail to respond, legal steps involving a warrant for his arrest will follow, indicating the seriousness of the breach and the intent to uphold justice for the affected shop owner.
