If you really want to help her out, you will slog to the immigration office she uses and get the hand out listing the specific requirements at that office (as there are 80+offices in the country)

Never the less, I will post the general list of requirements once I get back to my PC.

Is this get firsts yearly extension?

Or she's on an extension already and this is a subsequent year?

How did she meet proof of funds last year?

She has been doing extensions for decades but is recently widowed so I try to do my best. The funds are in her bank account. Just a normal bank account.

Chom Chum Surin, very straight office, friendly and quiet.

Wow that's up in the middle of Nakhon Nowhere 😮
She'll need copies of

  • Data page of her passport
  • most recent entry stamp to thailand
  • current extension
  • TM30
  • lease/land lord i/d (maybe the house book listing)
  • hand drawn map

A filled out TM7 <-application for extension, w/passport size photo

You go to her bank and get;

  • - standard bank letter (usually allowed within 7 days of when you're applying)
  • - 1 year detail transaction report from the bank (to show she followed the seasoning requirements for the extension she's on)
  • - updated bank book (needs to be updated the day she applies for the extension)

Those things and 1900baht should get her a new yearly extension based on "retirement"

CW refers to main immigration office Bangkok.

I provided reports from that office of extension reports.

The second link the OP posted helpful check list Link.

If you are serious about helping her then read the threads I provided.

Thanks but Mr. Tod here provided everything I need. So I don't have to read a long post about BKK while I'm going to Chon Chum.

Clearly you are not doing annual extensions.

From your OP...

"What do I do again?

Tm 8 form

Print of bankbook showing 8oo k

Map of house?

Pictures"

A TM8 is for reentry permit. So after 10 years you are not aware of that.

For extension she requires TM7.

And yes that requires a photo.

She would require re bank book or possibly 12 month bank statement to show financial compliance for previous 12 months.

Hand drawn map (stated by Tod) is required at some offices.

Also TM30 depends on immigration office.

As for my posts applying to CW the threads in this forum are for general info for everyone.

Well, he did say 'thanks'. The extra part though, recalls one Col. Jessup.

"I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way."
