A male teacher was injured by a gunshot during a heated altercation involving a love triangle dispute at a school in the Bang Khen district of Bangkok. The incident took place near the school’s swimming pool, shocking staff and students alike. Police from Bang Khen Police Station were alerted to the sound of gunfire by the local emergency dispatch centre. Officers and rescue personnel from the Por Teck Tung Foundation were immediately dispatched to the scene. The incident occurred at a government-run school offering classes from Kindergarten 1 to Mathayom 3, located in the Anusawari subdistrict. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male teacher bleeding from the head. Preliminary reports indicated that the teacher had been arguing with another man over a romantic entanglement. During the confrontation, the assailant allegedly struck the teacher on the head with a firearm. The gun discharged during the assault, with one bullet reportedly firing unintentionally, but fortunately did not hit the victim. The attacker fled the scene immediately after the shooting. Emergency responders stabilised the victim at the scene before transporting him to Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital for further treatment. Police are now actively searching for the suspect and investigating the motive behind the incident, which is believed to be rooted in a personal dispute involving an alleged affair. Security footage from the school and surrounding area is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities have reassured the public that the school is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. Adapted by Asean Now from Matichon 2025-06-17 1
