I smell a preplanned plan.

A soft coup, Anutin backed by the military, Senators, and those MP's who jump off the sinking ship the USS Thaksin to join him.

I thought it was Thaksin who orchestrated the Cambodia crisis, now it seems obvious it was Anutin and the military. Well played hand, Anutin, well played. It appears he wasn't willing to wait for the next scheduled election to become the PM, time to go to war with the Shin's. Let's see what the Red Shirt Mafia has to say about this, it could get ugly!

“Real Thais” setting up to

run off the ‘renamed Chinese overlord’ faction?

I wonder who mouthy-warmonger army general sides with?

Masterstroke from Thaksin.
Slowly but surely getting rid of the pro military presence in government.

Call for fresh elections and PP can get back in and govern with PT which was the objective of the Thai people all along.
well done Thaksin

Join hands with the peoples party and take the next election...

Move Thailand forward not backwards with the PTP and Shin dynasty

I think that was Thaksin’s end game all

along.
Getting himself back pretending to be in bed with the pro military traitors…..then slowly picking them off one by one after ensuring military chances to stage coup are neutralised

Three reasons for this, Anutin has his nose out of joint because he was demoted, he wants to be PM and this is Thailand.  No government other than a military government ever lasts.  Watch for the next coup!

For all you newbie expats who think living in Thailand is wonderful and have never experienced a military junta, think again! Living under the control of a Thai military Junta is no joke!  During my 20 years in Thailand, I lived through 2 Coups, first Thaksin Shinawatra's government and then Yingluk's. Where I lived in Lanna, martial law and curfews were implemented. Having to negotiate military check points with armed soldiers and Humvee's with machine guns pointing at you when going shopping at Tesco (in those days) was far from pleasant. Fortunately I now live in Cambodia.

Anutin and his dinosaur establishment are pro-military, pro-monarchy and anti-democracy.  Does his split from the Shinawatra Government mean the Peoples Party now dominate the Thai Parliament?

So this government might collapse.

Here’s an original thought. How about the party that got the most votes from the Thai public in the last election, forms a government?

I mean if no one else wants the job, maybe the guy the people voted for could do it?

I lived through both those. Life was no different except for maybe the first two days. I was in Udon which was considered a red shirt stronghold and therefore potentially a flash point kind of place. But mostly it was people taking water to the soldiers who had to stand out in the sun watching cars go by.

It really was no big deal from a daily life point of view.

This is a good thing, the young PM was a terrible choice to begin with, she appears to have been highly incompetent, and anything that the nation can do to distance itself from her toxic father is likely a good thing in the long run.

Protesters began gathering this morning against the PM for her call to the leader that was leaked out. Police lined up to prevent access to the PM government house. Wife says the news is downplaying this and social media is hyping it up. I wonder if this is the beginning we all knew would come when this woman was placed as the leader. image.jpeg.9989b429fadf3aa29cf34582a8ccf166.jpeg

For some reason I have great problems with connecting Bhumjaithai and the concept of honour!

I would also far rather that The Prime Minister was talking to Cambodia's leaders, than the army and it's political bedfellows start a war; people will suffer and die, and going on past performance it will be a war they will lose.

The old saying runs true, "there is no honour among thieves" but agree that the PM is the better option for dialogue with Cambodia, especially with A stirring the pot! Also dont forget the back ground of Hun Sen and family, not very pretty!!!

I see people on here talking about another coup like ordering a beer or coffee. Thailand has ruined itself with military coups yet idiots on here can't see and seem to relish this with glee. I've known Thailand since 2002 and lived there many times for many years (two coups). I've studied its true history and watched the forbidden movie. In my opinion Thailand could have been another Japan or South Korea but the military kept dragging the country down and backwards. I use the term military very loosely because through history they seem to surrender quicker than loading their rifles and the only people they can defeat are their own unarmed citizens. They are guns for hire and run like a mafia organisation. Mr T with all his faults was doing a good job progressing the country forward "education levels rising including English, GDP in double figures I think rising to 14%". A coup. Then his sister, OMG! She called an election for God sake an election she would have won but another coup! The country dragged back down. The election box is where the country will grow. The military and the elite had their own little coup at the last election and they placed the current pm into the job.

Anybody else notice the guy who always has something to say has remained quiet?

Where is Thaksin right now?
Preparing for court or has he done a runner again?
