To deny that the  Persians of the Zoroastrian faith were not ethnically cleansed is to deny history. As the Islamalic colonizers  moved into Persia they forced conversions and the exodus of those who kept the faith.

That depends on how you define ethnic cleansing or ethnicity.

I thought ethnic cleansing is the attempt to create ethnically homogeneous geographic areas through the deportation, forcible displacement or killing of persons belonging to particular ethnic groups including the removal of all physical vestiges of the targeted group through the destruction of monuments, cemeteries, and houses of worship.

Like what we see on our screens everyday Israel is doing to the Palestinians.

What the Muslims did in Persia was completely different as they forced conversions by discrimination, harassment and destruction of the temples and without doubt they killed quite a few, but as you wrote it was “convert and live free or don`t convert and live paying.”

That is a bit different compared to what the Israelis do to the Palestinians, which is more like “leave or die” and as most of them do not have many options to live elsewhere it`s mostly just “die”.

As far as I know, Palestinians have not been offered the option of conversion and becoming a part of the chosen people.

You see, that is the difference between Muslims and Israelis:

Muslims do not see themselves as the superior people.

Their prophet said: “All mankind is from Adam and Eve.  An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; a white has no superiority over a black, nor does a black have any superiority over a white; except by piety and good action

But they believe their religion is superior to all others.

They will politely ask you to convert or do so by putting a sword on your neck still leaving you with a choice.

Israelis see themselves as the superior (because chosen by God) people.

No choices offered.

Land theft. Settlers go home! Two-states now!

  • Do you have proof of that? Even if true, how could you possibly know, as Israel constantly says, all the numbers we get from Gaza are lies as they are coming from Hamas?   And again even if

There is no ethnic cleansing in Gaza. The population is growing. There is however ethnic cleansing in the region's muslim nations.

Muslims and their enablers have a habit of lying about their  past actions and blaming the  people they target.

We see it  today in Nigeria and  much of Africa where Christians are targeted and murdered by  muslim militias.

Zoroastrians were not exactly peaceful. Cyrus was an expansionist ruler. Persians were however pragmatically tolerant and as long as they had control, they allowed the subjugated people to exist. Very different  than the Islamic  invaders who destroyed all and forced conversions.

The Jews did not conquer Persia.  In this region, the Jews are from Judea and the Arabs are from Arabia. The Arabs migrated  and colonized areas outside of Arabia. It is the Arabs who are the colonizers.

Thanks, Pat. Are you saying the Arabs, meaning Muslims, I presume, were the colonizers of present-day Palestine (Judea?)? Just trying to wrap my head around this. I may need a colonic!

The Arabs were the colonizers. How do you think they ended up in Africa?

And again even if true this does not justify mass murder or the intentional killing of medics, journalists and worst of all  -  children!

Why are international journalists still not allowed into Gaza so they could confirm Israel`s "Gazan reproduction being faster than Israel`s elimination" narrative?

Another Zio narrative.

Err, ... as a imperturbable defender of Israel you might want to evince a little more modesty when it comes to accusing countries or religions of lying as the audacity Israel has displayed with the heinous lies they told the world despite the truth being in plain sight is still unparalleled.

Nice graphic.

Yet no proof of ethnic cleansing.

Most Jews freely decided to migrate to Israel as for the first time in Milenia they had their own country.

Large-scale migrations were also organized, sponsored, and facilitated by Zionist organizations such as Mossad LeAliyah Bet, the Jewish Agency, and the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society.

Sure, after the creation of Israel in 1948 there were a few single incidents targeting Jews in Arab countries (1948 70 Jews were killed in Egypt and 1947 82 Jews in Yemen), but their number was nothing compared to the number of murdered Palestinians killed by Jews.

And most of those around 900.000 Jews who moved out from all the Arab countries, did so on their own will or were motivated by those Aliya agencies, while the 750.000 Palestinians were violently displaced from their land during the Nakba.

Here are more numbers of Jews in 1948 and now

Russia:                   2 million     --------------------     123,000 - 290,000

Poland:                    100,000 - 300,000  ------------   9,600

Have they been ethnically cleansed too?

Or did they more likely freely move to Israel claiming the land of the native Palestinians for themselves justifying it with a mystic book written 3000 years ago and a country which appeared 3055 years ago and vanished after 300 years?

Apropos of nothing, the number of citizens of Israel equals the number of Jews in the United States: ~7M. Not everyone prefers to live in a military theocracy.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said last week that throughout 2025, Israeli forces and settlers killed 240 Palestinians in the West Bank.

Of those deaths, Israeli forces were responsible for 225, while settlers killed at least nine. OCHA said it could not confirm whether settlers or soldiers caused the remaining six deaths. Fifty-five of those killed—nearly a quarter of the total—were children, Al Jazeera reported

During the same period, Palestinians killed 17 Israelis in the West Bank, including one child and six members of Israeli forces, according to OCHA.

.The West Bank’s war zones

In 2025, Israel’s military onslaught in the West Bank resulted in the largest mass displacement campaign Palestinians have faced since 1967, with nearly 50,000 Palestinians violently kicked out of their homes.

The Israeli army destroyed the refugee camps in Jenin and Tulkarem and denied their residents the right to return. It has now effectively transformed the two camps into its military headquarters in the north.

Israeli troops also undertook the near-total destruction of infrastructure, including roads, sanitation systems and the electric grid. At least 70 percent of Jenin city’s roads were bulldozed, and the majority of water pipelines and sewage networks were destroyed in Jenin and Tulkarem within weeks, incurring millions of dollars in economic loss.

Thousands of households were disconnected from both water and electricity across the district. And still today, displaced families live in hard-to-access areas with hardly any civilian infrastructure.

JERUSALEM, Jan 28 (Reuters) - In Silwan in East Jerusalem, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Kayed Rajabi and his neighbors have been handed eviction orders in favor of an Israeli settler organization which has already taken over parts of the Palestinian district.

Rajabi's home is surrounded by buildings that have raised large Israeli flags - a sign they are owned by settlers, who he said began buying homes in 2004, and have obtained about 40 buildings in Silwan now, many via forced evictions.

Settler group Ateret Cohanim had offered to buy him and other Palestinians out, he said, but most had refused.

He said he was among 32 families in the neighborhood who have now been ordered to leave, with him and his brothers given until the end of Ramadan - mid-March - to depart under an order from Israel's Supreme Court that he showed Reuters.

"They want to force me out of the house I was born in, where my eyes first opened to life," said Rajabi, explaining that his family had lived there since 1967 and bought the land from a Jordanian officer.
