You know I wish I could have such a place but I am looking at the end of the LOS road for me and maybe I am suffering from Thai fatigue? 8 years and some good times but some bad experiences. Lately all of my contacts with the Thai people have been been brief. I realize everyones Thai experience will be different but for me the first 2 to 3 years were good but the last few have not been so great. -

Fire Fire Erupts at Tissue Paper Factory in Saraburi, Reports of People Trapped Inside
UPDATE Massive Fire Engulfs Saraburi Tissue Paper Factory: Reports of Possible 6 Dead Pictures from responders. A devastating blaze broke out at a tissue paper manufacturing plant in Saraburi province on 30 June, leaving at least 10 workers unaccounted for and many others injured, with emergency services from multiple provinces deployed in a desperate bid to rescue survivors and contain the inferno. Emergency services were alerted by a security guard at River Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd., located within Hemaraj Industrial Estate, Soi 8, in the Bua Loi subdistrict of Nong Khae district. The fire quickly intensified, consuming large areas of the facility, which houses vast quantities of flammable paper products. Over 50 fire engines and rescue units from local municipalities, neighbouring provinces and charitable foundations including Sawang Rattana Thammasathan, Poh Teck Tung, Ruamkatanyu, and others rushed to the scene. Despite their efforts, the flames spread rapidly due to highly combustible materials inside the warehouse. Saraburi Governor Banchat Chawarin, accompanied by provincial disaster officials and Nong Khae District Chief Santhat Randawa, was present at the scene to oversee rescue operations and coordinate inter-agency support. According to factory management, 10 office employees, believed to have been working on the second and third floors, were unable to evacuate and remain unaccounted for. Unofficial reports from emergency responders have indicated that 6 bodies have been located within the premises, but so far they have only been able to recover one body from the premises. Emergency crews struggled to control the fire. While partial containment was eventually achieved, the situation remains dangerous due to collapsing floors and unstable structures within the burning warehouse. Medical teams from Nong Khae, Nong Saeng, and Sao Hai hospitals established a field triage centre near the factory to treat victims. 26 workers have been injured, with 4 in a critical condition and all have rushed to different hospitals in the region. One female employee reportedly jumped from the third floor to escape the flames, sustaining injuries to her legs but managing to walk to a waiting ambulance. Firefighters reported severe challenges accessing the upper floors due to structural collapses, especially on the second and third levels, where damage is extensive. Search and rescue teams were forced to withdraw temporarily and are awaiting clearance to safely re-enter. Governor Banchat confirmed that search teams have been assigned and are on standby to re-enter the site once the fire is fully under control. “The situation is grave. We are prioritising the safety of our personnel and the urgent need to locate the missing workers,” he said. Authorities have since mobilised extensive resources, including support units from Nakhon Pathom, Ayutthaya, Sing Buri, Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi and several districts of Bangkok. A command centre has been established at the site, and operations are continuing into the night.
