Troll post, yet again.  Perhaps give your total attention to being outside of this relevant "sub-forum" which is being discussed, should be  implemented in the Asean Now, Lounge / Pub thread.

"Asean Now" still remains a primary resource for all  Q&A for both, resident and prospective overseas visitors to Thailand

Its recorded history is seriously  compromised after adverse commentary "Tripadvisor", "Dan meets Dan"- "Joel THB$100 per day Live like a King ,just for Northern Thailand etc..

Rather than trying to tangle horns, would like to see a post regarding Your experience of purchasing and eating "Fish and Chips" in Thailand.

Best fish and chips i have tasted in Thailand is at the

"SWAN  BAR"  In Buriram , about 1klm down  the road from the hospital.   Real English chips.

Why use 5 words when you can use 15?

Seriously, what is this word salad you spew?

Is there something wrong with you?

In 15 years in Thailand i have traveled  around about half of the country    Whenever i have come across a restaurant that serves western food, i have tried their fish and chips if they are on the menu, as i like fish.   I have not been too impressed with most of the fish and chips i have tried and cannot remember some of the earlier ones that were OK.

However since being introduced to the "Swan Bar & Restaurant" in ( Buriram that i frequent once a month for my shopping),  i have to say that their fish and chips, English style is definitely the best i have tasted in Thailand.

Just my opinion but if you are traveling through Buriram, give it a try and see what you think.

Their breakfast by the way, is huge and will keep you fueled up for the whole day.

Proper cod?

I've been there. No it's not cod - only local fish. But it was okay. It's quite popular with local Thais - has an upstairs with seating - downstairs is quite small. It's survived longer than many other places in the little precinct - otherwise mostly Japanese and Korean hole-in-the-wall joints that don't interest me. AFAIK, it's the only 'western' food on that soi otherwise. A good burger place opposite it lasted less than a year, and the long-running Basilico right on Soi Ari shuttered last year.
