Which makes me think there are so few that it's just another disease scare story. My pal was bitten by a dog while walking near wat doing Suthep two months back, he didn't bother either. If you had read the story you would have seen the number. Yes, it's very low, but I am not going to explain the necessity of rabies vaccine. Go and get yourself bitten!

July 10, 20251 yr Love story problems from math class: assuming when someone dies of rabies they are "all dead" not "mostly dead" aka a whole number... If rabies are up 3X from before, what whole number times 3 equals 7? Is this "the new math"?

That said, I would still seek medical advice for other potential risks such as bacterial infections. Quite. A couple of weeks ago there was a headline news article in the UK about a woman that died from rabies having contracted it in Morocco back in Feb. Apparently she was the second to die from the disease in the last 7 years, both having contracted it abroad. Reported that she never sought medical treatment following a scratch from a puppy. With Morocco averaging about 18 cases a year I didn't bother with the vaccine.

I must admit I have never thought about getting rabies from a cat. I might think twice about stroking on the odd puss. But I suppose the infection would come from a bite rather than a scratch or do you have to watch scratches as well.

It doesn't have to be a bite. As the sad case of a woman dying in the UK from rabies recently after being scratched a puppy in Morocco demonstrates. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c98wyllp170o

No innuendos please.
