You're welcome to step out of the way - you are not interesting enough to spar or discuss with....  Apologies.

I’ve a curated collection of grade A1 twonkers firmly on ignore – the sort of tireless dullards whose comments I genuinely can’t be arsed to wade through. Think Harris, Newbee, Yagoda, Ralf... Every so often I foolishly lift the veil and peek at one of their posts, only to be reminded – with clockwork precision – why the ignore list exists.

Now, in Malky's defence, he’s a different beast entirely. Utterly absurd, yes, but entertainingly so – like a drunk trying to win a debate with a streetlamp. He absorbs flak with unexpected tolerance and often manages a cheeky retort or a flailing but valiant jab in return. He’s not quite as thick as his posts would suggest, I'm entertained....

I'm shuffling somewhat ungracefully into my crusty old geezer phase myself... and I must say, my sympathies towards your particular brand of desperation are, slowly but surely, evolving.

Truth be told, I’ve a certain fondness for many of the older, more seasoned hands around here. Thus, its not age that bothers me in the slightest – it’s a deep-seated intolerance for weapons-grade twassers that I find increasingly hard to mask. Which, I suspect, might explain why you're replying in this fashion – perhaps the residual sting from being on the receiving end of one of my responses to an especially inane post in the past perhaps?...

.... I genuinely couldn’t say – not out of politeness, but because I honestly can’t remember ever engaging with you. Your presence, such as it is, appears to have achieved the rare feat of bland mediocrity thats too easy forget entirely...

... At least Malcy is memorable - so good on you for worshiping and protecting him !!!...

Sounds like a boring life.

Precocious?
Pretty gross from both parties to be fair. No class. I didn’t even do this as a somewhat green 20-something mongerer wannabe. Tell them to F off and get a room!

I'm sure the irony of you pausing to type that little gem - rather than “easily stepping out of the way” yourself - has sailed clean over your head.

But do carry on diagnosing obsessive disorders while compulsively replying. It’s unintentionally amusing, and frankly, an to stay on topic...   a textbook example of why engaging with certain minds feels like diddling a malfunctioning kettle: all hiss, no substance and too much dribbling....

Pure ego. Malcolm is an easy target. Myself far too advanced for him.

but I’ll admit this thread has offered a few entertaining replies amidst the rubbish...

if you look at the numbers I am the most popular content creator on the forum.
Most of my topics go well past 100 replies and thousands of reads.
Of course by being so popular there will always be a few of you trying to bring me down.

It is pretty much only you, Transam and Fred that have issues with me.

All three of you have very similar personalities I wonder to myself if you are just one person with three different user names.

All three of you abuse me for correcting you instead of thanking me.

Anyway Rich you still haven’t answered the very simple question.

Through sheer curiosity - no doubt a momentary lapse in judgement following my recent comment, I opened your post.....

Amusingly, you’ve once again confirmed that you're not even worth the effort of taking aim at....

... At least Malcy pings the radar now and then. You, by contrast, drift anonymously beneath it... undetected, undistinguished... a kind of flat, inept nothingness. Just a complete waste of page space.

... With your comments hidden, it's not some grand statement - it's simply less scrolling. You're not offensive. You're just not there.

Malcolm B admitting an American is a good guy. Brings a tear to my eye

He is ok.

Has his faults, grosses everyone one out, but ok.

You have to remember that every country has good and bad people.

It is just that American has an extremely high bad to good ratio.

You are confusing all my awards with content popularity.

This week my three topics were the most commented on, gets people thinking, gets people talking and brings in significant  % of the total revenue for this forum.

It feels so empty without me.

Not sure about that. Numerous people here warn about Australians first and foremost. Europeans also seem like children these days

You’ve lost it and let yourself get all flustered and wound up annoyed and bothered here, in the community pub of all places, desperate to defend yourself in a situation that you, yourself invited you into. Quite immature and silly, engaging in an antisocial manner, keep it up and it will seat in and solidify. Or learn to take it light and not let what others say think or do dig into you, you’ll most certainly be a much happier person especially later in life, young man.

Off the top of my head this week we had the naked American living in the Bangkok drain, the USA ex army marine guy spitting at bargirls in Pattaya and the American teacher kiddy fiddler in Chiang Mai

You guys definitely punch above your weight considering you don’t even make up 2% of tourists to Thailand.

And let’s not forget the bargirl kisser.

The situation you explained... For me that would be exactly 2 times to call him a buddy.

The first and the last time.
