Why is the Pizza Company not "real pizza"?

Featured Replies

Other than going to small expensive Italian restaurants that import quality cheese and sauce,  Pizza Company is one of the few relatively inexpensive places where you can get good cheese and sauce for a reasonable price because they import the good stuff in bulk.  Most of the mom and pop pizza places in Thailand buy from local distributors.  I don't know where they get their cheese and sauce from but it's usually is not very good in my experience.  Thai cooks don't eat a lot of cheese and tomato sauce so they can't really tell the difference like westerners can.

  • The packets of ketchup they put in the box...

  • The sauce is way too sweet.   They add too much sugar in the tomato sauce. There's too much of it as well.

Pizza Company arguably has the worst pizza I have ever had the misfortune of eating.

^ Japanese make Miso pizza. Not sure this is proof for or against.🤣

Interesting, I love cheese & miso.  Miso could be good especially since both are fermented foods.

Leos and Hong Kong Garden, which is near the aquarium. are in Mueang Sisaket. There's also Cuckoo's Nest that has foreign food, but I don't remember if it has pizza. Is there another one near the aquarium?

Yes, Cuckoo's Nest does serve pizza.

pizza company and the other brand that are nearly identical in LOS is sweeter than any other pizza i tried, except the 7/11 pizza that was even sweeter,

its also cheap, and its thick dough, but i wasnt impressed by any other pizza in LOS either, and the others were far more expensive

Yep, though TBO, only tried Dominoes once, and terrible.

Pizza Co is monthly visit, if not 2 for us. Even have their 2/1 card. Only get NY Style Pepperoni though.

What's not to like ... being fairly consistent is a plus

Yes.

These are not fruits.

Tomatoes and olives are fruits.

I have never disputed that.

Yes, in the biological classification they are counted as fruits. But in the culinary sense they belong to what we call vegetables. That's why you'll not find tomatoes in the supermarkets fruit section...
