But it's not referring to Trump. Trump doesn't come in sheep's clothing.

Obama did.

His speech is odd and it's no doubt a symptom of his incredibly confused and bewildered mental state, the man is semi senile at best and partially insane at a minimum.

But as alarming as that is, the most horrific aspect of this man is that he simply does not believe in democracy and free speech, and that is really scary.

In a competitive authoritarian system, a leader comes to power democratically and then erodes the system of checks and balances. Typically, the executive fills the civil service and key appointments — including the prosecutor's office and judiciary — with loyalists. He or she then attacks the media, universities and nongovernmental organizations to blunt public criticism and tilt the electoral playing field in the ruling party's favor.

Does that sound like anybody we know? Yes, Don the Destroyer.

Interesting. I can't emember any article on AN bringing Biden's mental aquity into question when he was POTUS and when questions were being raised. Maybe I'm incorrect and there were articles. Indeed it sure seems to me that there are very few positive aricles about Trump rather there's a plethora of anti-Trump articles such as this one from The Guardian with CNN, BBC and other legacy media outlets contributing to many other articles.

image.png.0f8c4e2f81499737ae8f9d200faac815.png

Very obviously a liberal 'journalist' that wrote the article.

I wouldn't be surprised if AN didn't post articles about Biden's OBVIOUS mental decline & its purposeful cover up by those media outlets that lean the same way as The Guardian.

Maybe, one day, the media will get back to the way they used to be - covering ALL of the news & just stating facts, not trying to bury the opposite political party.

The truth will be revealed over time, you're an optimist about Trump's plans, you think taxing the American people for every imported product is going to work, and I don't.

You think that America's increasing level of irrelevance is not going to hurt the nation, I do.

You think getting rid of both legal and illegal immigrants is not going to affect the labor pool and make things more expensive, I do.

And you think that treating our closest allies as enemies, distant friends and poor cousins is going to somehow going to work, I don't.

You sited unemployment at 14%. Inflation 19%. They are all lies, so be truthful.

Old, fat man rages on the roof...   "All this is mine."  Sure, totally normal.

Hadn't heard that before.

I guess protecting us from fake news?

Donald Trump is not a catholic he was raised a presbyterian or should I say was. The man now only adores himself!

Thank Zeus I'm none of the above.

Oh, and Trump was disparaging US citizens who happened to have come from Haiti. It was, as usual, nonsense and racist.

Self-righteousness. Not an attractive characteristic

Replied elsewhere.

Being surrounded by yes men, supressing dissent and limiting access to objective feedback and diverse perspectives will lead to inflated sense of self and distorted view of reality. His cult personality will wear him down as he see himself as infallible and above criticism. He is always in a state of paranoia and craving for love from his supporters and always on the edge fearful of conspiracies and threats to his perceived power. He is already showing signs of burnout and stress with constant pressure to maintain power and supressing oppositions. It is only 6 months. At this rate, Trump is falling apart congnitively and physically fast. Would not be surprise that we will see the 25th amendment in his term and that will be for the good of America and the world.

Trump is a Donarian. He believes that he is God, he is always right, and he is the only being worthy of worship. His behavior, his hatred, his venom, and his extreme level of malajustment alone, proves the theory that he is neither a Christian nor a man with a spiritual bone in his body.

That was a speculative thoerum, based on a potential future under Trump. I guess you didn't read the entire post.

Please accept my apology, I forgot. It would not be easy for a Trump supporter to think much about the ramifications of his policies 6 months, a year or two years down the road.

At what point in the last decade has Trump show any sign of mental acuity?

Not much discussion about Trump's border policy any longer. What would the ramifications have been had he not been elected. What? open borders for another 4 yrs?

People are talking about the far greater climate change disaster, because the last thing the world needed was Trump.

I don't have the nuclear codes, I'm not a president who can make peoples lives a misery, destroy trade relations and tarnish my country's reputation just by opening my mouth, I haven't destroyed small businesses by not paying for work done, I don't profess to being a Christian while being a scammer, I haven't redecorated the oval office to look like a brothel, he really has no taste.  Compared to him I'm as white as snow.

Amazing how so many of us who voted for him now see right through his bull and lies but not the republicans in the house or senate.  He is a very dangerous man and is ruining the United States of America.

Trump has gone off the rails. Senility is setting in, big time.

Some quotes - "It must be because of M.I.T., my relationship with M.I.T., very smart. I say, 'What would happen if the boat sank from its weight and you're in the boat and you have this tremendously powerful battery, and the battery is now underwater, and there's a shark that's approximately 10 yards over there?" Trump said. "By the way, lot of shark attacks lately. Did you notice that?"

During a meeting with the European Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen, abruptly switched from discussing immigration to saying this: “The other thing I say to Europe: we’ve – we will not allow a windmill to be built in the United States. They’re killing us. They’re killing the beauty of our scenery.”

Trump proceeded to speak, non-stop and unprompted, for two minutes about windmills, claiming without evidence that they drive whales “loco” and that wind energy “kills the birds” (the proportion of birds killed by turbines is tiny compared with the number killed by domestic cats and from flying into power lines).

The abrupt changes in conversation are an example of Trump “digressing without thinking – he’ll just switch topics without self-regulation, without having a coherent narrative”, said Harry Segal, a senior lecturer in the psychology department at Cornell University and in the psychiatry department at Weill Cornell Medicine. Segal said another characteristic of Trump’s questionable mental acuity is confabulation. “It’s where he takes an idea or something that’s happened and he adds to it things that have not happened.”

A high-profile example came in mid-July, when Trump claimed his uncle, the late professor John Trump, had taught Ted Kaczynski, better known as the Unabomber, at MIT.

Trump recalled: “I said: ‘What kind of a student was he, Uncle John? Dr John Trump.’ I said: ‘What kind of a student?’ And then he said: ‘Seriously, good.’ He said: ‘He’d correct – he’d go around correcting everybody.’ But it didn’t work out too well for him.”

The problem is: that cannot possibly be true. First, Trump’s uncle died in 1985, and Kaczynski was only publicly identified as the Unabomber in 1996. Second, Kaczynski did not study at MIT. "The story makes no sense whatsoever, but it’s told in a very warm, reflective way, as if he’s remembering it,” Segal said. “This level of thinking really has been deteriorating.”

I got rid of – just one I got rid of the other night, you buy a house, they have a faucet in the house, Joe, and the faucet the water doesn’t come out. They have a restrictor. You can’t – in areas where you have so much water they don’t know what to do with it. Uh, you have a shower head the shower doesn’t uh, the shower doesn’t, you think it’s not working. It is working. The water’s dripping out and that’s no good for me. I like this hair lace and [sic] – I like that hair nice and wet. Takes you – you have to stand in the shower for 20 minutes before you get the soap out of your hair. And I put a, a thing – and it sounds funny but it’s really not. It’s horrible. And uh, when you wash your hands, you turn on the faucet, no water comes out. You’re washing whole – water barely comes out it’s ridi – this was done by crazy people. And I wor – wrote it all off and got it approved in Congress so that they can’t just change it.”

“Any fair-minded mental-health expert would be very worried about Donald Trump’s performance,” Richard A Friedman, a professor of clinical psychiatry and the director of the psychopharmacology clinic at Weill Cornell Medical College.

He added: “If a patient presented to me with the verbal incoherence, tangential thinking, and repetitive speech that Trump now regularly demonstrates, I would almost certainly refer them for a rigorous neuropsychiatric evaluation to rule out a cognitive illness.”

I used to hike through the windmill farm at the top of the Altamont Pass outside of Livermore, California, back before the winds dropped so much that it was no longer profitable to maintain it.

There were a lot different breeds of birds underneath and around the windmill generation towers.  More dead birds than I have seen than in any country I have lived in.   I saw more dead birds there than I saw in my life before or after.

Domestic cats kill thousands of animals according to a study in Florida years ago.   The study included insects in that classification of animals, as well as reptiles and birds.   During a year long study of 10 housecats that were followed after they left the owners house, it was determined that the average kill rate was 1800 per cat.  This number being the average per cat per year, even though not all the cats in the study were not alive at the end of the study.   Most animals were not eaten according to the study, which study, it was suggested that the animals were killed for fun.

New Jersey citizens campaigned to stop windmill generators from being built in the ocean off the shore of central New Jersey.   Their campaign worked.   The governor of New Jersey didn't like that.
