I rather suspect that Rickey Jones's trial, after perhaps an initial hearing will be further delayed, probably effectively indefinitely.

My flabber will be well and truly tasted, if a trial takes place.

Postponed due to ongoing mental health issues, will be my guess.

Wouldn't it be ironical (although perhaps not surprising) if Lucy Connoly completes her sentence whilst he is still awaiting trial.

Ironic, would not be a word that I would use. The actual words I would use are not suitable for posting here.

  • Oh come on.   It's a small price to pay to keep the real dangers to society like Lucy Connolly behind bars.    Dissent must be silenced, and if it means a few drug dealers and rapi

  • Yes it was.   It was a very clear warning not to stand up to the hugely damaging policies of Sir Keir Stalin, sorry I mean Starmer.

Lucy Connolly wasn’t imprisoned for ‘dissent’.   But you already know that.

Funny all you people getting angry about something you've only imagined might happen.

His trial starts on Monday.

Funny how  people  like you jump all over comments that are not addressed to you.

Funny how  people like you seem very reticent to reply comments that are addressed to you.

Funny how people like you, seem to find anger and threatening language in comments that contain neither.

Funny how people like you cannot understand basic English.

Funny how people like you, miss the nuance of the word " Guess "

Funny, not in a good way.

Wear that cap with pride. You have proven over and over again, that it is truly warranted.

Not sure much anger are feeding their own need for grievance.

Where no cause for grievance exists it can be imagined….. or guessed at.

Funny how your post was in reply to Jag who didn't address you, so it's ok for you but not for others? I know you don't recognise hyposcrisy though, that's fine.

So in your world a discussion forum would contain threads of a single post unless the OP specifically addressed someone he wanted to reply? Wouldn't that be engaging.

Threatening language? Where did I mention that? You and Jag clearly getting in a tizz over something that hasn't happened, even to the point of imagining reasons for the imagined thing that hasn't happened.

Can you point out a comment addressed to me that I haven't replied to please.

I always reply to comments to me unless it is the end of a conversation. If I have missed one please direct me to to it. I do have a job and an actual life - you will see my posting rate is well well below average.

Okey dokey. Rather sensitive aren't you.

That might be because I brought up the potential for his trial not going ahead yesterday

Right here

So Labour Councillor Ricky jones, if his trial goes ahead next week should be looking at a 10 year stretch.

I then intimated, in reply to @JAG why I will be surprised of it goes ahead next week.

Thankfully, we have never met, if you think I am sensitive..

I wasn't getting "in a tizz". I was merely expressing an opinion, on what I suspect may happen, which I perhaps naively imagined was rather the point of a discussion forum, which encompasses a range of views. As was@The Cyclist

I agree with you. That is the point of a discussion forum, exactly.

Maybe tell your Cyclist mate that as he seems to only think you can comment when you are specifically addressed.
