You need an education on Ukraine’s constitution. the Ukrainian constitution states that the President does not automatically lose his powers 5 years after inauguration. These powers are only removed when the newly elected president take office I.e. after election. 

Election is in the purview of the Ukraine parliament. Under martial law, Parliament can’t proceed to hold the election and this is within the constitutional. 

 

MAGA folks may find difficult to comprehend as their dear leader undermines the constitution and break laws.

Amending the constitution would be a bigly long, drawn-out process, and would likely take decades.  Unlikely to get 38 state legislatures to ratify.
