ee.  I hope that readers here will forgive me, and my decision to spend my time on even more worthwhile pursuits....such as CHEMISTRY.....which I know is near and dear to your heart.

 

ff.  This evening, I have experienced just so much ANGST, about my missed opportunity to screw my best friend's mother that....now that I am in the twilight of my years, according to Sinatra, I must take the bull by the horns, and just buckle down, and use the free source at MIT, to listen to the lectures, and do all of the suggested exercises, in order to preserve my mind, while there is still time.

 

 gg. You are a great speller.  And, facetiousness aside, the ability to spell accurately, and effortlessly, is a sign of one having a decent memory capacity.

 

I am one of the worst spellers on TV, as you have rightfully made clear, and I DO agree.

 

It might be too late for me to become a great speller.

Yet, if I work hard given the free resources available to me on the MIT website...then....

I will be able to, one day.....

HOLD MY HEAD HIGH.....

Don't do her course....is my BEST advice....

There are two better courses in first year Chemistry at MIT....as everybody knows.....

You are not alone in missing out on screwing opportunities. Quite a few times in my youth I got signals I failed to read, out of inexperience.

 

Do you find yourself thinking of the decision forks in your life, and how different your life would have been, had you chosen differently? I do.

 

Example: I remember a young Thai woman at the roadside along the river in Chiang Mai who stopped me, begging for money. She told me in quite passable English she had been kicked out by her husband's family, her mother in law hated her and made her life hell. She was trying to get back to her family in Mae Hong Son.

 

I gave her a couple of hundred baht, and rode off on my scooter. I sometimes wonder what might have happened if I had taken her back to my condo instead.

 

She may have been telling the truth, or scamming me. I'll never know.

I recall well my liking for the first episodes of Breaking Bad.

I thought this series very well done.

However, after a while, it seemed to me that the quality became degraded a bit.

Still, a very good show.

 

I do NOT recall any particulars, probably, once again, due to me poor memory.

Very few female scientists are awarded the NOBEL, in the natural sciences, just for being black or female.....

 

Give me a Feynman type lecture, any day.....

 

Someday, all this craziness will end.....

 

I will NOT take this woman's course.....

 

I would rather listen to.....

 

 

 

 

Natural Science at the highest level is NOT for women.

Don't ask me why, but it just is NOT.

 

It's no secret that very few women can measure up at this highest level.

 

It's like trying to put a square peg in a round hole.

 

Obviously, MIT is now being run by dumb administrators instead of professors.

The hens are ruling the roost.

 

There is really no point in being Politically Correct if one also needs to bend the truth.

I am NOT intimidated by smart women.

Here is just one example:

 

Take the development of the CRISPR-Cas9 System...which is truly groundbreaking.

 

 

 

Note:  I prefer male uni instructors for the Natural Sciences.  However, I tip my cap to any woman instructor who has her own stash of Japanese Chalk.

 

Note2:  After checking further, the Freshman Chem Class available on OpenCourseWare seems to be taught by both male and female instructors.  Nobody likes to teach these huge freshman courses. It's an obligation and one of the chores tolerated by the true top-level researchers at MIT, and other great schools.

 

CRISPR has become a very hot topic during recent years.  And, the girls who developed this technology are two hot cookies, IMHO.

 

So, bottom line:  I am still OK with the MIT online Chem courses offered by MIT.

Still, MEN are just better at this, although not ALL men.

 

Final Note:  I love those scarves the girls are sporting....  Reminds me of Isodora Duncan, even....

THESE DAYS....

 

Biology, freshman year, is all about bonding.

 

Bonding and Chemistry, with no cooking.

 

This teacher is my style, for sure....

 

She is cooking with gas....plenty of good energy.....

And a great voice I am happy to listen to.

 

Since you say you missed out on biochem, there are other courses for you at MIT.

 

Return to your youth.
