August 31, 2025Aug 31 I don't think anyone on here is qualified to answer that. Even for the very select few that might have family connections with the Thai banking system. Furthermore the banks approach to the required checks on foreign account holders are unlikely to remain unaltered. Having checked recent new account holders, they may decide to look further back. Alternatively they might decide the exercise has been more damaging to their reputation and not worth the effort. It's impossible for us to know. More stringent regulations might be put in place or the current requirements might be relaxed. Hold on to your hat and see where the ride takes us.

If you have a Bank Account with a different Bank just transfer your Money from Bangkok Bank and wait till all is settled. If you don't have another one it's time to get one.
