My Visa (as above) will expire in mid Oct and I'd like to stay in Thailand for maybe 6 more months - how can I do this without returning to the UK for a new Visa from the Hull consulate? I'm planning on doing a final visa run just before my visa expires in order to give me 3 more months, but then what? That will take me to the beginning of Jan - I'd like to stay a further 3 months at least - is it possible to simply leave the country in early Jan and come straight back on a tourist visa for 60 days (plus another 30 with a 1900 baht fee)? Is it as simple as that, or is there a rule where you cannot re-enter the country within a certain time period?

Sorry, but this is all mighty confusing. :o

You can leave the country, apply for a tourist visa in Vientiane, Savannakhet, Penang, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore and return the next day (normal Consulate service is apply in morning and pick up next afternoon). That will provide a 60 day stay and you can extend it with a visit to Immigration for another 30 days.

Thanks. Easy as that, huh? I'll believe it when I see it!

If your Visa is Non-Immigrant "ED", it's mean you are study, Right?

If yes, you can apply for 1-yr visa at Immigration Office. You just need only Confirmation Letter from the School and School License (sign by Thai Principal or School Manager) , Your Birth cert. Fee 1900 baht for a year.
